my opinion, if you buy cheap, expect that there will always be a catch... i travel a lot via budget airlines because of their dirt cheap promo fares... and there are times that i get so upset about delayed flights, etc... but at the end of the day, i paid it dirt cheap, so i guess that's why it's dirt cheap after all...

the worse i experienced so far is that i got left behind because i was late (yeah, my fault, so i can't complain much either) and as a result i paid a rebooking fee for more than double the amount of my original ticket... it sucks yeah, but mag antus nalang gihapon ko para maka travel lang ko, because i need to travel and i have no other options for fast and cheap travel but these promo fares... take note, "promo" fares... it may be unfair to some extent but hey, i'm pretty sure the airline companies got it covered...

if you want something that you can complain out loud, go buy a PAL business class ticket... im pretty sure they have better customer options for you but hell you gotta pay the price...

Maintenance of the aircraft, fuel and salaries of ground staff aren't hidden charges. You should know from common sense that P1 or P888 (for international flights) won't cover all these expenses. Yes, the airline companies are engaged in a bit of marketing tricks, but some people are just being plain dumb around here...

Di man ko bright bai pero at least kahibalo ko nga mas maayo pang mailad ta sa plite kaysa mo crash ang eroplano. Ang mga budget airline dire at least maayo pagka maintain ang eroplano. Di ko kasabot anang mga tao nga ga expect nga P1 ra jud ang plite. Ang ilang kinabuhi P1 ra pod siguro kai kung mao jud na ang presyo sa plite sigurado jud nang crash ang eroplano. i just think them marketing people better just advertise with a conscience .the consumers have the right to know without twisting the info.

But that's what marketing people do.. that's their job. I don't think they're twisting the info anyway, the fare doesn't include fuel and tax. My point is, P1 doesn't even pay for the fuel, you think it will cover maintenance of the craft? Is your life worth P1?

That's where you're wrong bro. Your thinking that the airline should honor a P1 fare is a big part of the problem, it shows how much you think your life is worth because poor maintenance of craft is no joke and at that fare you can bet your ass the airline companies are gonna cut corners. What your demanding, that the government interfere in company's marketing sounds like overreaction to your hurt feelings of having half your day wasted going to the airline office. Come one man, even you know you are exaggerating things way overmuch here. The airline wasted your time and now you wanna get back at the companies. You already know there are hidden fees so what will this overregulation of business practice accomplish but satisfy your desire for revenge? I think you're being a bit bitter here bro, without blaming yourself for being part of the reason why you wasted your own time...

The only important thing is for companies to show you all the cost before you are charged or pay for the service. That's already happening, so there's no false advertising because the fare is really what they advertise and the "hidden" charges are given to you before you make your final payment.
