oh yeah... the bible said, not your understanding... i get it. Everything it has to be evolved within the bible not outside the bible... didn't God mention about knowledge and seeking the best of your understanding? Oh, I know... the answers are all in the bible. NO earthly answers can change that... let me ask you brod, did the bible mention what that the ark look like? what kind of vessel did they use to carry those people and animals? I don't think there are blueprints in the bible that the ark was made of BOAT.
Hi bro do you have any problem with the Word Of God the Bible? can you tell me whice passage is not true, and not to believed?

the reason maybe is that the UNIVERSAL FLOOD actually happened.

there are scientists that said it never happened but some also said that it happened, since we are not scientists and its hard for us to understand some technical terms use in science its better for us to keep an open mind.

Proof? Kinsa sa mga cultures nga imong nahibal-an nga they have stories about great flood? UNIVERSAL FLOOD? abi man gud nako ug earth flood ra ang nahitabo... apil diay ang ubang planets? milky way... outerspace... Universal man kaha. Awas man ang tubig... wa untai Sun karon... kay napawong sa baha... Nganong atong culture never mentioned nga dunay great flood, nganong ang chinese culture never
mentioned of great flood, nganong ang japanese culture never mentioned nga dunay great flood - except their feudal wars nga "kuno" nagbah ug dugo tungod sa pinatyanay. Nganong wala may accounts sa history diri sa Pilipinas nga nahurot ang mga tawo tungod sa baha... naa man lagi gihapon aetas...

Korek brod that we are not scientists, but the common sense of understanding the point of the whole thread - the great flood never happened. I am open minded sa mga sugilon sa mga tawo but their point does not prove everything... questionable lang kaayo.

sorry for using the word "universal" mao man gud nga term ang pirmi gamiton in contrast sa term nga "LOCAL flood" its either UNIVERSAL or GLOBAL,kanang duha usaully gamiton sa mga debates.

mao lang ni...dunay mga scinetist ga ingun nga nahitabo ang flood ang oban naa pod gasulti nga wala ,then both sides have convincing evidence to prove their position.

imagine the earth's compositon is made up of 3/4 water.

ang kanindot lang ani is dunay evidence ang obang sceintists nga nahitabo ang great flood confirming the validity of the GREAT FLOOD story sa BIBLE.

Hi bro do you have any problem with the Word Of God the Bible? can you tell me whice passage is not true, and not to believed?

Problem? No, don't have any problem with the bible - my point is, the Bible isn't what you think it is... It's a book, why we call it a book because it was written by human beings... meaning to say, there are mistakes... inscription, translation or genuineness... however, the bible had (plural word) some irrevocable issues that many scholars and skeptics that the Bible is a source of oreintation for the people who are longing to be out of their slave life -adtong panahona. Then, some of these crusaders went to jerusalem to get proof of his existence... some believes it and some don't but those who are not believers... killed! Pugson ka sa angkon nga THERE IS existence. Pila ka mga tuig mi labay, it went to our land... unya unsai na hitabo? hundreds or our forefathers were killed aron lang patoohon ang WORDs of GOD. The Bible doesn't say that... even in the commandments. Atong mga ninono were baptized causing a trigger effect nato karon because "we were brought up.." to think that we ARE ONE WITH THE ISRAELITES. The fact is, none of these are close. Also, if you truly believe that the Israelites are the chosen people, nganong dili man sila christians? they don't believe Christ as the Son of God... until now, do you see or hear a big christian church in Isreal? All that you can see is borders between Muslims and Israelis - waling wall ra gyud.

Is there other books that tells about God of CHristians, Father of Christ and God the Almighty.
My understanding is in the word of God which is in the bible.

Sa ato pa, you don't even read any publications, watch TV, hear news, and so on... these things brod will help you notice things that you don't get in the Bible. Wa ka karon kahibalo nga ugma there is a great discovery that all people can go to Mars and live there - but you don't see that because those are earthly knowledge... what matter is that you have the bible and that's the only way out. I know we die, but where are we going? heaven or hell? Where is that? ilalom sa yuta ang hell or ibabaw sa panganod ang heaven? The fact was that those same people who were in noah's ark didn't came back from the dead and said there is heaven or hell.

Brod, diin gani gikan ang bible? I mean physically speaking because if I don't label it - mo ingon guyd ka nga gikan sa Ginoo. Asa nagsugod ang mugna sa tanang pagtoo nga ang baha universal? Ug kinsa gani ang nagdala anang Biblia diri nato? Mga langyaw di ba? How old is the Bible? Sampol lang ha, how old is Chinese, japanese, Malayan cultures? una pa sa bible. Meaning, ang Baha dili gyud earthly phenomenon or universal phenomenon - because these culture have their own beliefs... even their own god existed before abraham's god and christianity.

Whatever information about God on T.V and publications it was still derived from the bible.
What I mean is, information about God that is different from the bible.
For example, God is Almighty then you can read other book that He isn't.

    PEace!

brod, how reliable can the bible really be as a source of guidance?

In fact, the bible suffers from different problems in this regard. We can't know that what we are reading are words that convey the meaning the original writers intended, because the original texts are long lost, and the best we have for most of these documents are many generations removed from the originals. That problem has been the subject of this discussion, and you should know clearly that after the multitudinous revisions, translations and editing by at least the 150 people who produced what we now call the Bible, there's way too much room for error to safely claim that it is error free.

the Bible can be made to advocate anything you desire. Want a blatant, wrathful, vengeful god, zapping everything and everyone who doesn't stay out of His way, demanding genocide, infanticide and even slavery? Read Exodus properly... Want a harsh, strict, angry, meanspirited code for living? Can't do better than Leviticus. Want a quiet, subtle, unknowable god who seldom intervenes but can be known only by sincere prayer and soulful supplication, who is kindly, gentle and forgiving? If so, Paul has written the scriptures you want. It's all there in the same book.

the Bible has many contradictions and errors in it, not just of obvious facts, but of doctrine as well. If you want to justify the dashing out of brains of infants against the stones, you can find justification for it in the injuctions of God in the bible. If on the other hand, you want to justify a ban on abortion, you can find it there too. So which is it? Of course that has to be a matter of personal interpretation, and any fundamentalist who argues otherwise simply isn't reading his Bible. One has to interpret matters of doctrine for himself, because the Bible is so often directly contradictory on matters of doctrine.

the Bible is not of it you may think it is. And that is the problem of interpretation. The same passage of the same book of the same translation of the Bible can mean entirely different things to people of different religious backgrounds. It can mean entirely unrelated things to the Mormon, to the Southern Baptist, to the Seventh Day Adventist and to the Guatemalan Catholic as well as to the African Pentacostal. Who is right? Is anyone right? Who knows? How can anyone resolve such conflicts?
