				Orton effect is a technique popularized by Michael Orton. It is not a plug-in...but you can do it in photoshop.Originally Posted by petey78
1. open a picture
2. duplicate the picture...close the original.
3. click "image" > "apply image"...select blending: "screen"
4. duplicate again this image
5. apply gaussian blur on this duplicate image > apply 25% radius or so (depends on desired haziness)
6. select MOVE tool > press "shift" > while holding down "shift", drag the blurred image on to the first duplicate
image.
7. release the left mouse button before releasing the "shift" key to lock the blurred image exactly on top of the first
image.
8. on the Layers panel, change Blending Mode from "Normal" to "Multiply"
9. if satisfied with result...flatten image...save file.
