guys can u give me some tips on how to optimize/maximize my download capabilities?

Have u tried azureus http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ which has an option na you can select the upload and download speed respectively. To optimize/maximize your download, try change the upload speed to the maximum and the download speed to the minimum.

Though setting the upload speed to a minimum is like not sharing your seeds or anything.
