I dont think there is anything wrong with it at all. Everyone has that opportunity to post their photos so that is entirely up to them if they want to or not. Just because some people aren't posting theirs does not mean to say that they aren't considered beautiful or they are being made inferior by others. Its their choice. Some people aren't comfortable enough doing that and some others do. The key there is confidence and appreciation. And if others compliment beautiful people, well, it can very well make their day, so why not. Everyone is posting decently naman and they're having fun and they are doing so at their own expense, not anyone else's. Either you take it or leave it but i have no right to spoil anyone's day. That's my frank honest opinion.

It is simply like a competition. out of 5000 entries, and ang maka daug 10-15 ra. So, if wala imo name na mention, either you are a winner or maybe, sa ka daghan sa pili-an, na labyan ka. So nothing to worry... if this guy knows 50 beautiful women here, and can only enumerate 1 or 2... kay maybe special na niya or something... bla bla... i have no problem ani, I dont care if ma post ako name dinha or dili, its up to you na if feel nimo bati ka ug hulagway if dili ka ma mention. Nothing's wrong with it, unless there is something wrong with you.

Hey you guys, impressed ko sa discussion really. But take out the impression that I myself am insecure because I'm not. I'm just really a critique of stereotypes... some degree of feminism in my veins that's probably it.... especially men talking too much about stereotypes and nurses. This is not about craving attention, please be MORE mature than that, but it's about something deeper.

You've made a lot of good points and I appreciate all your thoughts. afterall, this proves most istoryans have higher degree of confidence and self-worth gyud diay. Although I'd be happy to hear from the timids and the shy's.

But hold on... yeahhhh that's right. This proves that we Filipinos hardly hardly give sooo much importance to "unattractiveness" if there is such a word compared to other countries like here in the US where people are so crazy over looking good, surgeries here and there, diets everywhere. Filipinos are innately proud of themselves indeed.

I guess what's really crucial for me is that "standard of comparison". I agree that beauty is not equal to "gwapa" or "gwapo"... perhaps I should then use "gwapa" and "gwapo" stereotyping. so meaning, naa jud diay mga dili gwapo og gwapa nga Istoryan?
kung mao mang galing na, should there be atleast 10 of them nga moingon nga dili sila gwapo/gwapo and those threads affected them in so many ways much more on their self-confidence, come forward and post here seriously. I and mean Seriously!

humans as we are, inig kita nato sa pictures nga gipangpost sa ubang nga gwapa/gwapo para sa ilaha, usahay maka ana ta, ah gwapa/gwapo ra man na cya kay naay make up and this and that or simply maka ingon ka nga gwapa cya pero di nako type iyang beauty. simple as that.

Ana man tang mga pinoy, I bet ya wala'y mosulti nga ako bati ko ug nawng. Ug moingon man gani, naay pakapin sige lang buotan man ko. Probably truly proves nga proud gyud tang mga pinoys. And taas² ug panglantaw as far as being gwapa/gwapo is concerned. Which is really good.

Come to think of it ngel, protecting the insecure and the timid is not empowering at all. i'd rather have people openly acknowledge their own preferences (like stating who for them are gwapa or gwapo) and not apologize for it as it encourages others to do the same.

I noticed that many Istoryans here love Red Horse. I bet they'd prefer that to fruit juice. It wouldnt make sense to feel sorry for the fruit juice, would it?
