Bought one 4-watt LED Bulb.

Here are my thoughts and what I read about it:

It is only 4-watts compared to an 11 watts CFL bulb of the same brightness which I have both of them placed equidistant in the same room. So it saves electricity. It is brighter than a 9w bulb and less than a 15-watt bulb.

I wanted to test it first before buying because I live very far but Kathy insisted that there is no need for me to test it as she herself already tested it and is equivalent to a 32-watt fluorescent circular tube. Unconvinced, I kept on asking again if she's sure as it is not what I read on many LED Bulb articles. Their advertisement even says it is only equivalent to a 20-watt CFL Bulb. Definitely tested it to be comparable to an 11-watt Firefly CFL Bulb.

I would have wanted to test it also so I can see for myself and choose a more brighter bulb until I am satisfied but when I get there to buy it, there is no store or display areas and therefore no other products to choose from. It is just a drop off point but I still bought it. Now I am disappointed by the seemingly misleading information. It was advertised on multiply.com as P499.75 but was initially charged P550 until I insisted that they were the ones advertising it for P499.75. The female receptionist was no help at all as she doesn't have an idea about the company, the product or how to contact the owner. I have to use their office computer to find their advertisement and info. She says that she works on a different company owned also by Kathy. I have to keep on calling Kathy on my cellphone for an hour until I almost ran out of battery power.

Maybe, they'll be better and ready in a few months time if they are aiming to cater for big establishments.

Although the metal base is hotter, this LED bulb's glass is cool enough to touch, after prolonged use. LED bulbs do not contain mercury or emit UV light that attract insects. The LED bulb is rated 30,000 hrs compared to 6,000 hrs. for CFL bulbs. CFL bulbs, most of them in my experience, last a few weeks to less than a year. CFL bulb's lifespan is drastically shortened if constantly turned on and off and placed on ceilings directly under a hot roof. I got annoyed enough to search and try this hard to find but viable inexpensive LED bulbs.

I've read there's a documentary that CFL Manufacturers don't want to to sell bulbs that last a hundred years like the old ones in the early 1900's or they would go bankrupt. Just search through google for the longest-lasting light bulbs. They are still shining bright lighting some old buildings and factories to this day.

With all these pros and cons, I'm still going to buy more LED bulbs but cautiously.

Don't bother. pundir na in a few days (not 20 years)! Bought cdrking. mas brighter, so much cheaper with heatsink that is very important to protect the led.

I bought a LED bulb to test it kai na curious lagi... price is 420 pesos at True Value... date purchased June 3, 2012 then gi taod dayon when I arrived home that night. Kusog ug siga for a 4Watts bulb pero after 3 months lang grabe na ka hinay ang siga murag katugon permi ang bulb... so gi ilisan nalang nako ug CFL balik.

mga bro. na bc mig sales sa mga hospitals, schools n malls.....so wala kai ko nagsale dri.....we even got a contract from various schools in Manila. when i went to Hong Kong ilang lights gamit cgaran kai led lights na....makasave gyud ta sa kuryente ug dli dali ma punder depende ragyud sa brand. sa flourescent type e tangtang ang ballast ug starter unya nai change gamai ang wiring sa base para dli dali ma punder nagtest mi sa amo store ug taod sa 40w flourescent type so far 3 years na wala paman na punder unya hayag pagyud. Korea made ni amo gi gamit ug sale not China made. And also not all China made is bati it depends ra gyud sa imo budget imo epa manufacture nila, kai sa manufacturer sa China if u r asking for a certain product nga patrabaho nila gamai rag presyo maka produce cla pero ang quality dli nindot, pero if price nimo taas like mga branded para protection sa ila brand makabuhat sad cla. unya ato Philippines cgaran mangita sa mga tao barato mamalit ug pyesa sa sakyanan tanan auto supply canvasson hangtod makakita ug cheaper price...

kung naa koi sayop ug istorya ayaw pag violent reactions dayon kai opinion rani nako dli mangita ug awai....
