akong tips sa mga newbies sa oDesk (basing on my personal experiences as a newbie pud):
> take a lot of tests & try to get high scores para ma top 10%, 20% or 30%. attractive ni sa mga clients especially kung wala pa kay feedback ug star rating ug portfolio. also, the more tests you take & pass, the higher your application quota becomes.
> start applying if you think nindot na tan-awon imong profile. in my case, i encouraged the prospective client to look at my profile and test results for proof of my qualifications.
> ayaw gyud ka discouraged kung ma declined imong applications. apply lang gyud pirmi. nakabasa ko somewhere nga many successful odesk contractors got their first job after more than 20 rejections.
> in my case, i got my first job (transcription) after getting declined 8 times. since i opened my account last april 8, i've had 3 contracts already, puro fixed rate. so kugi lang gyud mo ug pang apply.
> once ma hired na mo, tarunga gyud inyong trabaho aron ma impressed inyong client unya taga-an mo ug nindot nga feedback. ayaw ka ulaw ug pangayo ug feedback kay ang uban clients makalimot tungod sa ka busy.
