Not very good gyud kay wala man ka naku na invite..... bitaw gi expect naku nga sa Leyte ako makaluto ug Sweet Chili Crabs. Naunsa ba hinu-on nga wala my live crabs didto sa Leyte (sa amoa) mura man nahadlok . Didto noon ko nakaluto sa Cavite through the courtesy of my bro nga ijang gidala from Quezon Province. Darnnnnnnnnnnn sobrang barato ang ilang crabs. Ang pinaka mahal it cost 130Php/kilo ug pinaka ubos 110KPhp/Kilo. Samtang sa Cavite ka or Metro Manila mo palit it cost 350Php/Kilo :8O:

BTW kadtong butterfish, something like deep fry sya. Mura ba ug Butter Prawn. Permanente neng nakug gi try kaso deli gyud naku makuha ang saktong nga crispy. Anyway practice makes perfect man kuno.

Usa pang nakit-an naku nga barato sa Pinas. Kanang Cod Fish barato gyud kaaho ang kilo kay deli raman mo abot ug 130Php/kilo samtang sa laing nasod mo abot gyud na sya ug tag 500Php/kilo. Though medyo deli high class ang atong cod fish pero. Pareho raman lami pag na steam na nimo human himoan ug sauce from a mixture of sesame oil, oyster sauce & soya sauce. Add pod ug gi dikdik nga fried garlic para more flavor ang pagkaon.

    Thai-Style Chicken Wings
    Submitted by: Christine Johnson

"Eat these spicy wings hot or cold. They also make a great appetizer!" Original recipe yield: 6 servings.

    INGREDIENTS:
    3 pounds chicken wings
    1 cup chicken broth
    1 cup white sugar
    1/4 cup fish sauce
    2 tablespoons cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon cornstarch
    2 teaspoons paprika
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    1/3 cup minced garlic
    3 tablespoons minced jalapeno peppers
1/4 cup sliced red bell peppers

    DIRECTIONS:
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
In a large bowl combine the broth, sugar, fish sauce, vinegar, cornstarch and paprika. Set aside.
In a hot wok or skillet add the oil, garlic and chiles. Stir fry over high heat until the garlic turns slightly golden, about 4 minutes. Add the broth mixture and stir until it boils and is reduced to about 1 1/4 cups, about 10 to 15 minutes. Keep warm.
Place the chicken wings in a 10x15 inch baking dish and bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes (until browned and crisp). Turn occasionally. Drain off the fat. With a slotted spoon, transfer the wings to a platter and pour the garlic sauce mixture over them, mixing well. Garnish with red bell pepper strips if desired.

@kalinaw: Here is another recipe which very much related to your sought-for buttered fish.
    -------------------
    Crispy Pecan Fish Fillet

1 1/2 lb Fillets (catfish, snapper, flounder)
    1 C Milk
    2 C Yellow cornmeal
    1 tsp Tabasco
    1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 lb (1 stick) unsalted butter
    1/4 C Vegetable oil
    1 C Chopped pecans
    1 C Chopped parsley
1/2 C Freshly squeezed lemon juice

Wash the fish fillets under cold running water, and place them in a bowl with the milk, Tabasco and salt. Allow them to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.

Just before cooking, drain the fillets and dredge them in the cornmeal. Heat 2 T of the butter and vegetable oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Fry cornmeal covered fillets until crispy and brown, about 2 minutes on a side--don't crowd the pan.

Remove from the pan with a slotted spatula, drain on paper towels. Repeat until all fish is fried. Keep warm.

Pour grease out of the skillet, and add the remaining butter. Place over medium heat, and when it has melted, add the nuts. Stir constantly while the nuts brown. Add parsley and lemon juice and stir to combine. Pour sauce over fish fillets and serve immediately.

    -------------------
...i think, if your take out the pecans from the recipe, you will arrive at a "Crispy Buttered Fish Fillet".
