Despite all the bashing done by Fox News....

Fox News Poll Shows Obama Leading Romney

Well of all the polls in all the world, it would seem that President Obama is leading Mitt Romney in the most recent Fox News poll as the presidential race gains steam. This most recent poll was conducted between May 13-15, 2012. The poll was based on 913 likely registered voters via live phone interview. “Landline and cell phone telephone numbers were randomly selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, which means that phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state,” as stated by the poll data.

According to the poll it would seem that President Obama has a 46% to 39% advantage over Mitt Romney, and the number one reason people would choose President Obama over Romney was because they think he is doing a good job as president. What also seems as not that great of news for Mitt Romney is that the number one reason people would vote for him would be because he is not President Obama, not because of any particular issue.

Poll: Obama leads with professionals, Romney with executives

Voters classified as professionals and service workers support President Obama, while Republican challenger Mitt Romney leads among executives and managers, reports a new Gallup Poll.

Overall, among all workers, Romney leads 47%-45%, a statistical tie when the margin of error is factored in.

Obama leads 51%-43% among those classified as "professionals," including lawyers, doctors, scientists, teachers, engineers, nurses and accountants. Of the entire sample, 24% are classified as professionals.

The president has a 13-point lead among the 13% of the sample described as "service workers," including police officers, firefighters, waiters, fast-food workers and janitorial workers.

Romney leads the president 49%-42% among managers and executives, and 53%-40% among sales workers.

Obama and Romney "are tied among clerical and office workers," Gallup reported.

Polls: Obama leads in key states of Ohio, Fla. and Va.

New polls give President Obama narrow leads in three states that may well decide the 2012 election: Ohio, Florida and Virginia.

Obama leads Mitt Romney in Ohio by 48%-42%, according to the NBC News/Marist Poll; no Republican has ever won the presidency without carrying Ohio.

In Florida, Obama has a 48%-44% lead over Romney, says the Marist poll. Florida is another classic swing state, and decided the 2000 race between George W. Bush and Al Gore.

(Remember, polls are polls, however: A recent survey by Quinnipiac University gave Romney a six-point lead in Florida; the Republican/Democratic makeup of the polling sample accounts for many of the differences.)

The NBC News/Marist Poll also gives Obama a 48%-44% in the relatively new swing state of Virginia. Once a Republican stronghold, Obama carried Virginia four years ago.

Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, offered analysis of three state polls:

Ohio: "Romney needs to break through someplace in the Midwest. Although Obama carried the Buckeye State by five percentage points last time and leads by comparable numbers now, Romney's hoping to repeat the GOP's fortunes from 2004."

Florida: "Mitt Romney is within striking distance of President Obama in Florida. But neither (Sen.) Marco Rubio nor (former governor) Jeb Bush pushes Romney ahead in the race for Florida's 29 electoral votes."

Virginia: "Already targeted by both the Obama and Romney campaigns, Virginia could become the ultimate battleground state. Obama carried the state by six percentage points in 2008; it is likely to go down to the wire this time."

I'll place my bet on Romney. It's unlikely to have a Republican Senator to win against Obama though, as there's a looming animosity over the health care bill, and disputes over financial reform, environmental issues, jobs, and any number of issues that we're seeing bruising these partisan members.

Mitch Daniels, Mike Pence and Eric Cantor would've been great candidates aside from Ron Paul and Santorum. But as a Republican myself from the northeast, I would love to see Mike Huckabee run the party compared to Romney.

Abraham wasn't that great. He was just right for the Civil War but overall he sucked. He was also extremely two faced and brown noser to the voters depending where you lived.

FDR prolonged the Great Depression and added a bunch of Federal Bureaucracies that didn't really help the country. It just destroyed the economy and opportunity. He's just accredited cause he made the US Government Gigantic and defeated Germany and Japan. In terms of running the civilian side of the Government he did a lousy job.
