    excerpts of coronas speech

    qte...
as i speak my counsels are distributing blank copies of the waiver that i have signed - ((natulala si cuevas murag nakurat pero wala may nagdistribute ug blank copies)).

i am asking them to sign these blank forms and to join me sapagkat hiling po ito ng taong bayan. let us face the people together.

let us rise to the occasion and prove to them that we deserve their trust. we, you and me are all in trial here.

you may choose to turn down this invitation, this challenge for whatever reason whatever. But if you decline, then you will affirm to me and all who are watching that there is in fact no legal obligation or duty to disclose foreign currency
    unqte...

where in the world would you see a person on trial challenging his complainants?
    Only in the Philippines.

He is the only person on trial and he says "you & me are all in trial here".
and asks them to sign the waiver dahil hingi ito ng taong bayan.
then demands an affirmation of setting him free if they refused to sign the waiver?

I am beginning to believe what his lead counsel said yesterday that his client is not mentally and physically fit.

i am for the transparency and against corruption as any Juan in us. but it is not the proper place and time.

A very clear diversionary tactic of a man in panic imo and an arrogant one at that.

In my opinion, there was no need to challenge his complainants to sign the waiver. Or if there was a need, it was the wrong venue and time for it. But I wouldn't go as far to say that his challenge is any indication of guilt or that his intention was to divert the case towards his complainants. It may just be an overly display of pride- and yeah, maybe arrogance. He is being singled out because he is considered an opponent of the administration. Countless accusations were thrown at him with very flimsy and questionable evidences. He got desperate.

I respect him less for trying to walk out and coming back on a wheelchair. I respect him a lot less now for "pretending" (or not?) to be sick. I respect him a whole lot less because until now, he hasn't faced the Impeachment Court fairly.

But do I think that he deserves a guilty verdict? No. He may really be guilty of all those charges but the fact remains that the Prosecution has done a sh*tty job of trying to prove it. We should still remember that the burden of proof still lies with the Prosecution. And so far, they have done more damage to their reputations than they have on the Chief Justice...

Seriously, if you did a crime and Neil Tupas would be your counsel, you'll be hearing the word "anonymous" too much..

after the 3 hour long speech of corona, imho i think there is no longer burden of proof on the part of the prosecution panel. the $$ accounts does indeed exist as coming directly from the mouth of corona.
that is why the prosecution doesn't want to do a cross if defense will not do a direct.

corona may be in court tomorrow but may appear to not able to speak, etc.
let us wait and see as there will be several scenarios to expect tomorrow.
Will JPE be as accommodating and too liberal this time?

It’s Cuevas vs Roy as defense disintegrates, says Drilon

MANILA, Philippines—Chief Justice Renato Corona’s defense team was “disintegrating” to a point that its own head, former Supreme Court Associate Justice Serafin Cuevas, had allegedly wanted one of its members cited for contempt and detained, a senator bared on Thursday.
“Given what we saw last Tuesday, indeed the defense team was disintegrating,” Senator Franklin Drilon, an administration ally, said at a weekly forum in the Senate.
Drilon revealed that when senators were holding a caucus after Corona’s walk out on Tuesday, Cuevas came in and explained that he had no hand in Corona’s walkout.

    Talkative Roy
And when Cuevas saw another defense lawyer, Jose Roy III being interviewed on television about the walkout, Drilon said the lead defense counsel made this remark: “Ayan daldal ng daldal. I-contempt nyo at ikulong nyo ng 10 araw, hindi ako mag o-object (There he goes [referring to Roy], giving a lot of talk. I won’t object if you cite him for contempt and jail him for 10 days).”
“And another incident during the same episode, Atty. Roy was going to join the caucus, hinarang sya ni Justice Cuevas (Cuevas blocked his way). Papasok ka dyan, mumurahin ka (If you go in there, you’ll receive a lot of flak),” Drilon said quoting Cuevas.
    Roy now in control

It appeared, the senator said that Cuevas was no longer in control of his team and that Roy seemed to have been taking his place.
“(It was clear) that he (Cuevas) had no control over what was happening. It would appear to me that Atty Roy is the principal lead counsel from what had transpired,” Drilon said, noting Cuevas’ own admission that he had tried to resign from the defense team because of a “conflict of opinion.”
The senator believes Cuevas had indeed no hand in Corona’s walkout, which he described as “premeditated.”
“Somebody else is directing the show,” Drilon said without saying who.
“I have no doubt that the walkout was premeditated, planned. I can conclude reasonably that Justice Cuevas was not part of the plan,” he added.

just saw in the news that corona will open his dollar accounts even without meeting the waiver. if this will push through and prove corona not guilty of the charges, that would make those 180 + congressman and 1 fat ass senator an ass and the case can go against them. im so excited. i cant imagine what ill do to the prosecutors and to those monkeys in malacanang if corona after all was not guilty and just a victim of the blame game of abnoy palaboy

but then this is only a case of "What If"

Dapat mo labaw siya nila, dili siya mag pinareha. In my honest opinion, dili lang si Corona ang guilty tingali ani. If you are a judge, a SC judge... you are very prone to lobbying/bribery.

yes it is clear that they are fishing for evidences... but again... does that mean CJ is not guilty? Or the evidences that were fished is not true?

Kung mao man gani buhi-an na lang nato tanang criminal kay i'm sure kita tanan nakasala so invalid tanan case nila. Howat na lang ta tanan mamatay na sila para ma judge.
he did sign the waiver and since March pa na siya willing to open his dollar accounts. lets wait sa iyang questioning, di man pud ma prove ng persectuors asa gikan ang $. i doubt maminaw pud ang close minded people here sa iyang testimonies hehehe.

if hes guilty? well so far NO from what unravel at the IC and in the senator judge minds... its their prerogative.
so far the evidences are half truth lmao.. 82 to 4; 45 to 5; 31 to 3

no one said himuon invalid ang case.. did i miss your point there?
