@ken123: you can go to cebu home builders or bionic builders they have bargain tiles. these bargain tiles are those phase out designs so you can get them at half the price at most. pro limited nlng ang stock ani. kng barato lng then nindot ug quality try phil made tiles like mariwasa, eurotile and etc. naa pud barato nga mga china tiles but some say that the quality is not that good.

Dunay design nga naay pattern dili pwede ma bali bali.

Things to remember when choosing or installing tiles:
    1. Pile tiles on top of the other to check if the size is the same.
    2. Check for warps.
    3. If you want tiles with patterns or design, make sure the store has extra pieces for the small portions (aseroho). You may need to count a small portion as one tile, depending on the design.
    4. Before starting tiles on one area like a room, make sure you have enough number of tiles for that area. Always be prepared for the common situation when the store cannot order that tile anymore since it has been phased out.
    5. Smaller tiles are easier to install but takes longer.
    6. Larger tiles like 60 x 60 install faster but there is a bigger tendency that some portions will be hollow. The tile man has to be good and experienced in installing 60 x 60 tiles.
    7. Tile gaps that are narrow are nice to look at, but this cannot be done if the tile is of different sizes.
    8. It would be easier if you have the same tile design for different areas. This way, you can minimize reserve tiles. Just make sure there is enough stock.

2 cents advise lang. I hope this will help...

Related to tiles... Right now I keep on bringing pencil for me to use in tapping on the tiles to check if it has hollow parts. BANG! I didn't know na naa diay ana na mga standard. To the effect that the setter was proud of his explanation to me re "Classes".

@manoy: since most of your tiles are already laid one thing you need to do now is to be extra careful in stepping on some hollow tiles. ok ra if wall tiles have hollow portion coz it only undergo less stress unlike floor tiles. hollow portions are susceptible to cracking especially when heavy furniture and appliances(which you probably have) are placed on top of the tiles. mgkinto nlng ka ani noy.heheh
