Let's face the real world and acknowledge our existence - our present isn't our choice but our destiny; we may not like it but this what we want to be.

If neither of us can't accept it ones its legalised, nothing much we can do but to respect. If you still doubt-good luck!
Being straight, gay or whatever isn't a question but a challenge to address the current situation. whatever it may be, you can't change the world but you can make a difference by initiating dignified/decent act

Sir, the gay and lesbian community is only appealing to the government so that they can marry legally. They are not petitioning any church to let them marry.

The laws of our country should not be governed by the laws of any religion. Diba it's not illegal for muslims to have multiple spouses? It's because the other religions cannot force their beliefs on anybody else.

Same goes with same s*x marriage. You cannot just say that it should not be legal because it's against your belief. You are trying to influence a legislation aimed to give the minority the same rights that we enjoy with the use of your religion. And that is wrong on so many levels.

    This one makes sense.

But you are making it sound like if you oppose same s3x marriage, you are opposed to giving everyone equal rights.

I am still not in favor of same s3x marriage. If we keep pushing these kinds of arguments just for equal rights sake, then sooner or later we might as well allow relatives to legally marry, say mother and son, mother and daughter, father and son, juan de la cruz and a goat or dog, or marrying a non-living thing.

This will be a hard battle. Why? This will be against the interest of our country because a man married to another man, to my knowledge, can never bear a child.

Although it is true that MARRIAGE in Christian sense is only done "through God", you should all also remember that it is also a CIVIL CONTRACT sanctioned by the government. A government that should be EQUAL TO ALL.
This Civil Contract is also awarded special benefits by the state (tax, estate planning, government and medical). These benefits are only few of the many things that you are depriving gays and lesbians from enjoying by not allowing them to have a legal marriage.

The separation of powers of church and state also implies that any religious objection to a civil union (including same s*x marriage) MUST NOT BE ALLOWED. IT IS NOT REASONABLE nor is it LEGAL to enforce discrimination based on religious views.

To tell you the truth, the teachings in the New Testament are very revolutionary it is still practiced to this day. It is still used and applied through ethics, whether in governance or societal matters including MORALITY. It is also the most important factor as to why a country that practices modern democracy gives you your unalienable, unchanging rights. I can give you examples if you want.

    Lastly,
Homosexuality has been around long before the Bible. So it's actually YOU who is advocating a primitive culture not us.

Gays and Lesbians only want to have the same rights as the straight people do.
The constitution already prohibits incestuous marriage. It may be because children born out of incestuous relationships are more prone to mental illness.
The constitution also prohibits bestiality because the animal cannot provide a informed consent.
But if you think that legalizing same s*x marriage is a precedent for also legalizing incest and bestiality, then by all means, let's take the issue one by one.
Let us all review the merits and demerits of each case as it comes.
But saying that same s*x marriage is wrong because incest and bestiality is wrong is a mistake.

Are we saying that marriage only exist for the purpose of having children?
Many marriages produce no children at all- maybe by choice, or infertility or age... Would this also be against the interest of our country?
