I would have said no, it's not worth fighting for but after reading the post from huck, I realized that this is true.

Well, the issue is not about "only the corrupt officials will benefit from Scar Shoal" it's more about protecting the homeland. If we don't fight for it then we will be expecting enemies at our gates. Remember we are dealing with a communist nation. Human rights is nothing with these people, why? coz they are communist. Remember Tiananmen Square? I wouldn't want such kind of people lurking so close to the homeland. If they are allowed to set foot on that piece of rock, GOD knows what they'll do next with their burgeoning military capability that the US and the whole world is much aware of. Next thing you know it's an invasion as what monroy is pointing out, he's right. An example is a Chinese businessman. These guys are out to get every single penny from your pocket. Nowadays it seems everything is "Made from China" very very cheap. Why is that? They want to kill the competition and take out everything from you pocket and into their purse. Same with land, territory, natural resources. My GOD these people are grabbers! So it's basically more on that - protecting the homeland.

On the other side of the coin, the issue on the corrupt officials. Well, it's the fault of most of us. All I hear from most of the voters come election day is " Pilay hatag ni... ? Nya? Mohatag si...? Etc. etc..." That's why they're there. It's basically our fault.
