One symptom of a corrupt nation is when it has too many laws or its lawmakers bent or distort freedoms and rights for their own agenda. For example, in the US, people have lost their jobs because they called a fellow worker gay even in private conversation. It's happening.
We could be penalized for the most natural and mundane things the state has considered criminal offense. If they criminalized smoking cigarettes in the streets for reason its 'unhealthy' (even though this is personal responsibility issue) maybe ten years from now they'll ban red meat for the same reasons.
"In a state where corruption abounds, laws must be very numerous." -- Tacitus (AD 56 – AD 117)
mao sad...pwede ra pud na..or it could be because kay daghan na kaayo atong laws, some people result to corruption nalang? pwede ba nah?
really? i didnt know bawal sad diay magwonder about the most "simple" things in life? like ngano naay lawbreakers.. ;p 13 years old ra diay ang pwede ma.curious?
Because LAWS aren't meant to be blindly followed but serves as our guide . If you just blindly follow the laws , you are staying away from common sense , your own thoughts and beliefs , and fairness . You have to keep in mind that there are consequences of whatever you do not only breaking the law .
yes, i guess so..but i was wondering about kanang mga repeat offenders? like, they steal tapos go to jail..then when they go out, they steal again..diba lawbreakers man sad nah sila?
