True Age of the Universe - Biblical Fact - From Age 0 to Jesus

Ako Kristiano pud pero wala man ko kasugat sa edad sa kalibutan sa Bibliya. Skeptical man ko sa mga calculations sa mga Creationists just as I am skeptical sa mainstream scientific methods sa Age of the Earth.

Some Creationists argue that like Adam, the Universe was already made 'mature' (Mature Universe/Creation theory) and didn't have to undergo what the scientific community explains today like the birth and death of stars and other matter that takes millions of years etc..

That's a clever sounding argument.

But then again how do we count days from an immaterial, timeless, spaceless God? Its futile.

I agree bro, that days, years and even time cannot affect God, but Bible clearly lays out the number of specific years of the age of the ancient people in the genealogies, otherwise it would defy its purpose of being there.

I say God put those numbers so that real Christians today, will be separated by the agnostics and christian-look-alikes today.

Those numbers are there so that we will be able to stand our ground in a battle that we are fighting for His Majesty!

Actually, there was no account that talks about the universe's age. What focuses there is only in the Earth and on the Heavens. But what God says in the Bible, a thousand years to us is like a day to Him.

Other cultures use genealogies to trace their heritage not just the Jews. In the Bible, genealogies also serve the same; to trace the line from Adam to Noah, to Abraham, to Isaac, to David to Jesus. As far as I know, and not to identify the Age of the Earth. Although I have read Jewish and Christian scholars using genealogies and I think Isaac Newton even used this method too.
