our intellectual level is up to where we can understand.. man are just being so rational that they want to go beyond their knowledge..

hehe. I think I'll share what I feel about this topic...

I believe in a supernatural entity, but I'd rather not call it "god". The word stems out into practices and obligations I find confusing for me to be doing.

I was born into Christianity. As I grew, I found myself confused about alot of things... one of these- in the broad field of spirituality. I may be wrong in most things, but I can't stand being a hypocrite. I cannot force myself what to feel or do.

Doubt. This was the start. It wasn't mainly about the "existence of a supernatural entity", but about religion. Not only christianity but all religions. I felt awkward. I shouldn't doubt. Only later did I found out for myself it's okay to doubt. Then again, what is wrong with it? A person who does not doubt is sure of himself, and such person does not exist... unless he's an idiot.

"What drives people to think theirs is the true religion?", I often thought. What makes a christian any better than, say, a buddhist? or a muslim? Nothing. You are a better man not by religious affiliation, but by doing good. What is good then? Good morals are taught by Christianity, I must laud it for that. But can people learn good morals without religion?

the materialist perspective (and science) has unlocked the major mysteries of the universe. even how human think and how mystical experience and its interpretation is a brain phenomena that can be isolated in the human genome.

philosophical idealists, (the religious included) cannot accept this. they insist that the universe is as how they paint it, denying each and every scientific fact that tries to demystify a befuddled and highly distorted view of the universe.
