TS, dugay na kaayo ni imo post, pero walay klaron kaayo nga nakatubag sa imong question... nganong dili misahan ang naghikog... pero lately... dunay kausaban tungod sa pag hangop sa Psychology, nga ang tawo nga nag hikog wala sa iyang kaugalingon... karong panahona misahan na ang nag hikog tungod kay ang tawo nga nag hikog wla na sa saktong panimoot...
in conclusion, wala siya gapatay sa iyang kaugalingon kon dili biktima siya sa dili saktong pangisip...

mmm, curious lang ko, ngano ipaagi pa man nato mga tao ang mga prayers through saints, the virgin mary, or kang jesus christ? ngano dili na lang nato idretso kang God mismo? katung God na gina-prayhan ni jesus and all the prophets... IMHO, mas nice man ata kung dretso kai diba "God is a jealous God"?

Originally, tanan taw na mu accept ni Yehoshua/Jesus are called saints. Sa Katoliko sila man ang mu decide kinsa ang tawgon santo (beatified, canonization etc.) They have come a loooong way. Sa Missal, naa man mga days dedicated to the saints each with special prayers. Murag diha na nagsugod na trend.

Another reason is this: "Many non-Catholic Christians believe that it is wrong to pray to the saints, claiming that our prayers should be directed to God alone. Some Catholics, responding to this criticism, have argued that we do not pray to the saints but with them."(source about.com)

Di man kaayo klaro ilang reason because you cannot pray for or with the dead. So whats the use? Besides there's only one mediator.

RC's teaching is to pray for each other even death cannot break that bond that's why RC ask the saints to pray for the living and the dead so all might be saved..

how about the prayer for the dead, does it help? luoy man gud tong mga pobre nga dili tawn ka afford sa pamisa. Maybe there is a good explaination about this one.
