u have good points there. i think we also have to segregate the items differently. for instance, if we talk about garlic and onions(which some are imported from china), these things kaya raman nato e produce diri but mas cheaper lang e import tungod gamay ang tax or smuggled. second, things like keyboard and mouse, these are things nga dili nato kaya e produce diri kay dili worth ang investment kay it's not a basic need + we don't have the economies of scale for this to produce it cheap, and therefor we lose to china on these items.they should raise the tax on those basic items like the onion and garlic but not on the items nga dili nato kaya e produce like the keyboards and mouse. this is just an example

Because in the 80's and 90's it was Made in Taiwan. The situation with china right now is the same with taiwan during those years..

Considering the friction with China over some piece of rock and corals in our backyard, try to imagine a day to day life without China. Kini lang ako gigamit nga laptop karon, Made in China. Mag breakfast ko after this, akong stove Made in China. Mulakaw ko later, akong sapatos, Chinese made and I will be driving a motorcycle composed of mostly Chinese made parts....wearing a helmet nga made in China. Sige kuno beh.. wala ko nag promote sa China ha.. if need be, i will be the first to fight. this thread is simply discussing the infiltration of china in our lives. the chinese invasion already is here.

Wala may nakalisod ani. People just choose to buy cheap and most often than not, automatically for them, it means made in China.

i still have my Nokia fon which is made in Finland. my Bosch fon which is made in Germany. my pair or scissors made in Japan. my havaianas made in Brazil. my son's Fairy Tales books manufactured in India. all my make-up are made in US.
