the most dangerous martial art is the one which teaches you how to kill and how to do it efficiently.

after all the word martial means war or combat. and in combat or war, the one who kills better wins.

mao na ang basihan kung unsa ang 'most dangerous'. lahi na ang istorya kung unsa ang most honorable, ang most noble etc etc...

so what is the most dangerous martial? the one they learn in the training of special forces all around the world. kay kumpleto tanan - pusil ug ubang weapons ug the most important wlay rules - just plain surviving.

    gets? :P

kidding and small-mindedness aside... wa gyud mo ka-gets, kamong duha.

martial arts - from the word martial means, freely translating, Art of War. or art of Combat. tan-awa lang gud ang roots/hinungdan anang tanang traditional martial arts na inyong nabal-an. kombate na.

when you talk about the most dangerous martial art, i-realize gyud ninyo na lahi ra kaayo na sa unsang martial art ang pinakaganahan ninyo sa pilospiya. i-differentiate ang duha. kung ganahan mo sa pilosopiya sa isa ka martial art, hala! go! ayaw lang i-apil sa diskusyon na "most dangerous" unless that philosphy is part of the mindset it gives to its students when fighting.

    g8s?

p.s. tubagon nako unya kanang skill vs style nimo tenchu. maningkamot sa ko sa trabaho.

when you say there is no superior art only superior skill, nahuna-huna na ba gyud nimo ang buot pasabot sa inyong gisulti?

migo, skill is relative. being a good basketball player will not mean you are a good soccer player. ang advantages sa skill limitado sa rules sa situation.

unya kay ang sitwasyon man nato kay away2x sa gawas.. mag-matter gyud kung unsa ang imong ginatun-an, what you train for, what you do during training.

unta na-enlighten gamay ang imong mind. kung gusto pa gyud nimo maklaro pa, i'd be happy to oblige you with another set of examples.

p.s. of course there are other factors and i realize it. just in case somebody will go rip-roaring through here again.. =D

    .
    freely translating? whats that?

martial arts means military art, not art of war. although related thats not the accurate translation.
martial- comes from god of war - mars

martial arts is not only in the physical fighting level. daghan og level
    with dealing against an opponent.

in Sun Tzus Art of War - winning without fighting is the best.

Please dont confuse martial arts as purely physical level.

    Default Essence of Martial arts

Hmmm, I guess you were right at some points but let's not just bring fighting or the warfare only to the physical level but also to the intellectual level. Ahem, speaking of soccer players and basketball players, it is illogical to compare them as combative individuals. Please don't underestimate people who play basketball because they have developed a very good footwork. Mind you, my friend who played last Arnis last January was a basketball player and even people (people who practice ARNIS like my sensei and those in
Doce Pares Banilad) who saw him for the very first time weilding a stick in his hand and fighting the shit out of his opponent cannot deny that he had developed a very good footwork (although he was a bit lousy at using the stick) and even commented that his footwork was outstanding. Please DO NOT generalize all martial arts as one art. My father and uncle once was a PHILIPPINE CONSTABULARY RANGER from the 57th PC Ranger batallion (Try to research on the infamous record of that specifically the batallion assigned in combat zones like Maguindanao and Samar in the early 70's) once practiced Tat Kun Tou and Arnis under Grand Master Alberto Dacayana Sr.(was the spelling right?) and mind you, they killed a hell lot of people (most of the time without mercy). They both practiced martial arts alright and they survived but they had encountered the most frightening experience of thier lives - Facing the danger of death every single day. they both realized one single thing. Living was indeed sweeter. They faced the MNLF who fought in hand-to-hand combat (most likely, Pentjak Silat)in the trenches of Simuay Bridge in Parang Maguindanao and mind you, they also killed a whole lot of people. So, which was really better? The one they trained with to be used in killing thier enemy or the one being used by thier enemy to kill them? My father and uncle's answer was unanimous- NEITHER. It depends on how you use your skill to your advantage.
Please DO NOT MISINTERPRET my message. I am just being plainly OBJECTIVE. Do you have training in the field of Military Science? Ofcourse I expect you to be trained in ROTC before. But do you really know the sole function of the "SPECIAL FORCES" or the Marines or the Marine Force Recon or the Scout Ranger or the Regular Infantry or the Navy or the Air Force or even the Police and RMG? Or how to employ them? Or DEPLOYMENT? Or BASIC military maneuvers and strategy? There is nothing really so special about them for your information. They are just fighting men...PLAIN and SIMPLE. Every day they are expected to die in one way or another like everyone else...
