bryta jud aning intel uie..para di ta gutomon ug cgeg gamit sa pc wholeday...ilang gituyo para mag duwa ta..at the same time nag luto...coool

anyway....kung ablihan diay ang cpu..para hungaw kaayo?

unsaon pag view para makita ang temperature sa imo cores? di lagi ko kbw? di man makita sa dxdiag gud...

^^ nice find bro... so this confirms that IHS indeed was not the real issue... oh well, there are always cases like this that new process/technology may not be as good as the previous one... remember P4 northwood (130nm) and prescott (90nm)? prescott were then tagged as presHOT and then people kept looking for northwood chips

but anyway, i am still hoping nga naay bag-ong revisions si ivy that would somehow solve this problem... otherwise, i would still go for ivy kay wala naman sad ko plano mag overclock... and murag klaro man sad nga ang magpa taas jud sa temps ni ivy kay voltage and overclocking... labi na ang voltage, slight increase, shoot up na ang temps...

nice article pud ni mga bro...

kung butngan ug ventilator bro? kanang pang CR nga ventilator....kusog kaayo mo soyop ug hangin....

open casing or closed... no difference, its the design of the processor that making all the heat.

Hahahaha... ahaka... Water cooling nalang jud if OC, then tarungon jud ang airflow sud sa casing... para di mo init... if nag high end nga i5 or i7... i think not worth it mag IB... dugay pa kaau na ma outdated inyo rig...

opening the side panel will only lower down the temp of the internal environment of the case and not the actual temp of the processor & others... makatabang gyud hinoon ni compared sa closed system na pwerte nang inita sa sulod... this is just a "band aid fix" though...

fix ani for Intel would be to change the design of the IC (either minor or major dsign change) if the minor fix (IHS improvement) will not be effective... in the semiconductior industry, dili mo stop ang pag revise sa IC design. its a constant activity... even our current processor(s) undergo so many die/wafer revisions... dili ni i-divulge sa atoang mga consumer ang every die revision... its an internal activity for Intel as well as for anyother semiconductor design company...

nindot pud mahibaw-an ang electrical consumption between intel's SB & IB processors... in the comparison, components must be identical except sa processors para ma eliminate ang other factors/contributors. naa na ba'y benchmark ani? wla pa ko naka kita... kun naa'y naka kita, please share sa link para pang puno sa knowledge nato tanan dri...

kaning constant die revision activity na akoang gi sulti kay based ni sa akoang experience in working on an IC Design company...

^^ kani bro this might help...

AnandTech - Undervolting and Overclocking on Ivy Bridge

basically, ok ra jud kaayo ang IB kung stock... kung mag overclock ka, don't go beyond the stock voltage to keep temps at manageable level though this is the trade off nga dili kaayo taas ang imong OC...

kung ako, ok ra jud kaayo nako and i don't mind these issues about heat kay dili nako mag OC for 2 reasons...

    1. this procie are still speed demons even at stock speed
    2. "power efficiency" - lower power consumption yet providing high computational power is the new name of the game now and this is what exactly IB has got to offer. besides, dili nasad ko willing mo bayad og taas sa kuryente! ok ra to sa una nga dili pa ako tig bayad sa kuryente og sa kadtong batan-on pa ta nga hilig pa kaayo mag experiment...

nice article bro... maybe, this might be the 1st taste for "Haswell's tech" as well... but we don't know yet until Intel will release their upcoming bnew micro-architecture...

as for me, an IB i3 will do for my new project... i'll just stand my ground and wait until Q3 of this year...
