I haven't cheated but I believe those who cheat subconsciously want to get caught.
Aside from always getting caught, what ever the consequences are, they still seem surprised that their sh*t backfired.
There are guys who think with their d*cks and think that their partners won't leave them no matter what happens.
It may be because he thinks he is the greatest guy in the world, or he underestimates his partner that much.
But then in the end, nobody wants to be neglected and then their partner tells them to pack up and leave them.
And then the cheater just blames the world except for himself. Such a pitiful bastard (I'll kick his ass)

If they weren't caught that simply means, they just needed a diversion, but don't really need a reason to destroy their life.
So they cover their tracks well, making it as if their incident never really happened at all.
