    Just tonight, and yet again...

    I was looking to buy a product for myself and my son. So I searched for a bike helmet that's hopefully not made in China and to my demise, it's harder than I thought (yet again). We were at Park Mall.

    I texted a "reliable" source to ask for guidance just in case other malls should have better alternatives. Sadly, he said it'll still be hard to find one.

    A year ago, I tried looking for a new pair of running shoes for my wify that's not made in CHINA. The result? She still has no new running shoes to date.

    So there you have it. I'm sure many of you can relate.

    How can the consumers "try" to boycott CHINA-made products when we seem to have no choice?

    So I would like to make a plea to our business owners in Cebu (or in this country while we're at it). PLEASE oh PLEASE give us a choice to not buy CHINA-made!

    PS: I just bought my son a Kokonut helmet made in China and I feel like I'm adding to China's ego. But what can I do? Let my son bike without a safety helmet?

    Also, the time of China made goods are cheaper is long gone. Bought my son's head gear for PHP 1,850. I'm sure if I look at ebay, I'll be able to find a cheaper one made from a more reliable manufacturer. Of course, their are also others putting a "Germany" price tag on them China made goods but that's when "buyer beware" comes in right?

    ###

    onsumable:

    * fruits
    * dried mango
    * lucky me
    * hormel

    * vege
    * junk foods like chippy & cheese curls
    * poso
    * bodbod
    * buwad nokos
    * buwad isda
    * letchon

    non-consumable
    * staedler
    * rotring
    * dr. martens (made in UK)
    * oakley
    * habagat bag (anybody can confirm habagats aren't made in China? I know Ramon (owner of T.W.O. and he used to hand make his products locally I just can't verify now).

    lisod kaayo buhaton. even big time (e.g. nike, apple, etc.) companies around the world use cheap chinese labor to manufacture their products. worse pa ani kay almost tanan sa mga pinoy buy a more cheaper clones of the products which are, sadly, 100% china made and even china owned. daghan sad mga chinese stores diha sa colon ai.

    I am in the process of blocking all Chinese web crawlers from my sites and considering a blanket ban of all China IP addresses. This is my way of displaying disapproval with China's current behavior, it also preserves my bandwidth and helps with security. Boycotting Chinese manufactured goods is not going to be easy, but it's something worth considering seriously for us consumers.

    not sure about this, I'm asking my big bro now and waiting for his reply.

    I'm sure though that my Samsung Galaxy S2 is made in Vietnam with Parts from Korea. Oh yeah!

    Now, can someone from samsung verify if all their products are the same?

    I for one is considering this as well. However, that would be fighting them chinese as people and not China as a government so I didn't bother. Although the goods are also owned by chinese people but their taxes or part of their income go to their government.
