Booming actually refers to the companies and how are they doing, it doesn't say much about how the members are doing, if the company is legit or not, if the products are of good quality. Why is it booming? Because of the way it conducts its business. Samot na diri sa Pilipinas, networking companies give too much emphasis on the compensation plan so they can lure people to join. I really observed those people nga mopresent, they spend like only around 40% of their time talking about the products, company background, and networking industry, and 60% on the compensation plan and "selling the dream". Sad to say, majority sa networking companies diri sa Philippines kay binuang. They give promises of earning an income quick, huge amount that is, but later on would result to frustration. Networking is a very abused and overused concept or system. Binary, pyramiding, matrix, or whatever kind of compensation system, mao ni kasagaran gamiton sa mga "networking" companies kay lucrative and promising kaayo.

What I'm stressing out is nganong lisod kaayo ang networking diri sa Philippines. I and my parents were once members of a few networking companies (FLP, DXN, Nu Skin) and I've read a handful of books and articles about network marketing (on top of the business books that I have read). I'm an advocate of network marketing as well provided that its legal and what the company and its members are doing is right. Sad to say, because of the success that most legal and legit MLM companies have achieved before like FLP, DXN, some people are "intelligent" enough to think and take advantage of what most Filipinos like the most, instant gratification. Hence came FQ. If my memory serves me right, FQ was like the Jeremy Lin or Jessica Sanchez of networking before, grabe kainit, grabe kasikat, and because of the ignorance of most people, dali ra kaayo makarecruit. Over the years, FQ's marketing strategy became the norm. Why sell when you can earn through mere recruiting?
Tungod ana, MLM is very tarnished to the point that when you talk about networking, scam na dayun ang mosulod sa ulo sa mga tao. People are very defensive. Though I'm not against networking totally, I've got my reasons why I'm not totally sold into it even if its legal and legit. Here's some:
1.) Most MLM companies sell food supplements. There's no way I'd be selling food supplements. I have a very macho image to keep. hahaha!! <kidding>. Seriously, since most MLM companies are selling food supplements, competition is very high. Aside from other MLM companies, I'd be competing with pharmacies and malls. Of course, the main competition are other members that aren't my downlines. And most of all, food supplements aren't my thing.
2.) Products are generally expensive. MLM companies use the "word of mouth" concept in order to gain a huge market share. They justify that such strategy eliminates advertising and marketing costs. However, companies really doesn't eliminate such costs, they just redirect it. It goes to commissions. And since most legit and legal companies are foreign companies, they'd include shipment costs. In fact, advertising costs may even be less than total commissions given. Because the products are generally at the higher end, not everybody can afford it.
3.) And lastly, guba kaayo ang image sa networking. Everybody's perception of networking is scam. People have default notions about networking and its very hard to change that.
If you get into business, you have to be analytical and as much as possible, see things in all perspective. Most people join networking companies because all they see is the potential earnings but doesn't look at what's behind it. Mao nang daghan kaayo ang mascam and daghan kaayo ang di kabawi sa ilang capital. Worse, daghan kaayo ang di matagam.
I just don't join a company or start doing anything just because of the earnings. Aside from profitability, I look at competition, lesser competition ba? Concept of the company or business, is it sellable? Can it make an impact to other people's lives? Much more, is it stable? And most of all, is it something of my interest?
Don't get me wrong. I'm not totally against MLM, networking (but I'm 100% against scams, pyramiding) but I've got some standards to keep and follow.
But since this thread is all about "why people hate networking", then I'm enumerating the reasons and negative side of networking. Maybe you can start a different thread about networking or "why people love" networking then I'd post my positive inputs there.

Halal, sports, etc2X... it is also composition patented... which means that if another individual or company will try to duplicate the product, bisan gamay na change sa composition, dili jud pwede.... unlike the utility patent of most vitamin C.... na daghan na ayu jud Fern C, Mega C, Ultima C, Ultra C, Vital C,, etc.. in all medical history, it is the 16th (the latest) that was awarded with such composition patent by the US Patent Office... the other 15 composition patents are given to prescriptive drugs.... it undergo the strictest of all clinical studies, gold standard of all prescriptive drugs.... the composition patent is also a protection to the consumers ky para what is results in the clinical study,, mao jud imo ma kuha pd... dili lang na sa company.... and all im saying is, ur 1st reason does not really apply to the company i am with.

yes bro,, not everyone can afford it... ana mn jud na bro... not everyone can afford jud.... but i think, if everyone can really try the product and have the results they really are praying for.... the product price is cheap nman, compared to the real UNIQUE benefits jud.. they will going to try to afford it... they will try to weigh things.... the value of the product really depends on the consumers bro.... bro,, i think, ako na ni na post ang about sa product costs,,, basta ang bottomline bro, we should evaluate the total value of the products, not just the monetary value, if balance, wala problema..... subjective mn pd na.![]()
