i think 1.5G would be for you for now. update na lang ka later to 2G. dako ra ba na og kaon sa mem ang mga application na imo gi-specify.

dual channel.....
first your MBoard has a dual channel feature..
second, kinghanlan pareha ang both RAMs..
third RAM must be place sa RAM slot nga dili sunod...like 1 and 2. it must be 1 and 3, 2 and 4
You don't need a dual sided RAM para ma dual channel...as long they're the same and the MBoard also have a dual channel feature.. then you're okay.

what if 2 ra ka slot para ram nimu??
unsa diay effect sa dili pareho? also, what do you mean pareho?Originally Posted by djereza

junmar4: with two identical sticks of ram the motherboard activates dual channel , if they are not identical the system can not adjust for voltage and other differences that are caused by ram of different specs.
lets say you have 2 kingston 512 pc3200ddr. you put both on the blue slots. you have dual channel. if you are going to add more, you will have to add another matched pair(does not have to be the same as the ones on the blue strip) to the black. if you add one strip to a black slot you will detect and use the ram in single channel mode.
what the big deal is with dual channel is you have two pipelines to the processor from the ram instead of one.
the white paper explains this better then i can.

I think your better off with 1.5Gig kay imu mga applications is more on memory man. Unless applications nimu mugamit ug memory in realtime like large scale games or video processing.
