Things to consider ... he played for a community college league in Chicago . Not in a NCAA D-1 , D-2 , or even D-3 ... but in a community college . He may demonstrated some good stuff in that league but if he played in the NCAA where competition is really tight , we would know his potential just by watching him on TV .
Recruitment ... he never got an invite from an NBA D-League team . If I'm not mistaken , he got invited to try-out for an ABA team but never made into their final roster .
With the technology today like YouTube , the PBA get to see his reels showing his game where he 'looked' great , we never seen his full games . He became a leading scorer or something in that community college league , but no one in the PBA team or an independent scout had the opportunity to assess his game when he was still playing in community college ... eg who is he on pick & roll situation , who is he on isolations , clutch situations and many more .. those stuff weren't recorded .
Now , in the Philippines there's no version of NBAdraft.net , DraftExpress.com , or even Scout.com where independent scouts can post assessments on players . It's very unknown to the general public of what is the actual skills of soon-to-be PBA rookies .
All the fans can do is wait for his time to suit up and play in the PBA . But we don't know when ...
