Hahaha, katawa man sad ta anang mura ug foreign oi. Naa diay ingana? Pwde man cGuro ta mo gamit English when ever we want to use it. Dba Universal Language mana?And don't you think foreigner sad ta sa mata sa mga taga-US, UK, Africa, etc.... Literal ra cGuro kaayo imong pagsabot anang word nga foreign. Hehehe. I agree with "Tingkagol". Urbandub sounds very different from those bands. Based on lyrical content alone you can see a very big difference. They may belong to the same genre but thier approach is a whole lot different from those other bands.

Well, wa lang gyuy angay kay maka associate man kos gi basehan gud. Pareha pud anang magpa brit-brit ug accent na mga new wave na mga local nya bisdak kaayo ug mga dagway... walay angay lang basically... For me, urbandub songwriting is just a combination of rip-offs from recent popular foreign bands. They don't sound anything new. Nindut lang nila kay maka relate ang ubay2x na mga tao kay daghan man kapareho nila ug bandwidth. Pero ok raman english na songs ba basta makahimo lang ug di kaayo klaro sa gisundugan. Kung deftones diay gamay inyo influence, sundugun pud diay ang lihok for example? Mao nay akong pasabot sa walay angay... Hasta sinul-uban ug lifestyle e-attempt man pud ug sunod gud. Wala naman gyuy "orig" these days pero klaro rapud kaayo ang mga gibasehan aning bandaha... ug uban pang mga banda nga pare-pareho nila.

sinol-uban? kanus-a man na na relate ang sinol-uban sa music? ing-ana lang siguro sila mu sol-ub kay comfy sila... and the way u dress is a reflection of your lifestyle... i can't wear a polo,slacks, leather shoes and skate... it's freakin impractical... especially the lifestyle... if my life style is like this and that it doesn't mean i copied it from those people... this is just the way i want to live my life... even if mag bahag ko then naa ko band then mu tukar ko does it mean ako gi-copy ang life style and get-up sa ato ethnic brothers? as for urbandubs riffs... wala koy issue coz tanan riff na imbento na... tanan chord pattern na pindot na... i dont think na ma orig pa gyud ka... u can be orig by combining the riffs, beat and lyrics... even if kana na riff na gamit na sa ani na song and kana na beat na gamit na sa ato na song...

and by the way deftones is the first and only band na ni play sa type na music na ila gi-play or wear and live the life style na ila gi-live...

*sigh*... Before you type something (like this statement), please supply facts and other evidence to support your claim- otherwise, you'd only look like an idiot armed with cheap shots-- no offense. If you have any facts that support your statement, then maybe we can proceed with a more decent argument rather than leaving people (like me :P ) hanging and confused. If indeed urbandub is a rip-off, name a band that you think isn't.

all artwork, songs, paintings, etc. are influenced by other artworks, i guess there is a thin line between being influenced and ripping-off(just like The Strokes, katong ingon sila nga gikawat ra nila ila bass lines sa the cure).. mao sad tingali nga "influence" ang title sa album sa urbandub, kay ilang mga influences gipa kita gyud sa ila mga songs, mao na gi accuse sila ripping-off...

Ey dont be mad guys Its just my opinion and it still stands. Walay Angay. You have bands? Had your video taken? Or looked at yourselves in the mirror? Well I've seen a lot of bands here and I think they look and act like theyre wannabes. That includes Urbandub. Thats my critic. Its ok if you find me shallow. Likewise too I respect your opinions. I find Urbandub shallow coz I can predict the sequence of their songs at first listen. I can tell the next chord, and they lack variety. Hey, why not end this thread and stop the disses

I'm just wondering how many bands out there that you can't predict the next chord they're gonna hit... (except for PROG, JAZZ, Fusion Bands) ... I mean, when it comes to chord progressions... there's only a few chords you can go from the last, RIGHT?
