I love the people and the people love me! Aside from this, mahilig mag-yabangan at mag-lamangan ang mga Pinoy sa kapwa nilang Pinoy. So Pinoys are very prone to the ravages of excessive consumerism to satisfy yung pangangailangan nilang mag-pasiklab — using stuff they could hardly afford — the latest celphones, luxury cars, tacky jewelry, and P80-to-P120-per-cup coffee in the top brand-for-gullibles cafe: Starbucks.
For me filipinos are not mayabang ok.... its case to case bases, because all human are boastful in nature...... there are instances that our being mayabang will come out, 8ts natural ok........

this is because people with less things tends to show more, its a fact that our current society judge us of what we have..
and label us with tags like "with class" "no class" "never mind" LOL... and you know that everyone tends to look for belongingness
even though they cant afford stuff.. they try there best to acquire it got it? , Ill just quote some phrase "balaha wai panty basta naai celphone"-trisikad

so its not the people "pinoy" but the society

In my own experience, kapampangans mga mayabang. They flash their gold jewelries, etc. Daghay ing ana sa ila. They're very noisy too although they cook good. There are some Pinoys too that are so mayabang bisan dili ka afford ug balay palit ug balay bisan walay sulod ilang ref wala nay makaon. Gusto mga stateside designers bisan dili ka afford. I think ingrained na gyud sab na sa mga Pinoys kanang spanish attitude that we got for a fact, daghay hispanics dire ing ana sab sila. I can see where that is coming from sa Pinoys.
