buyer of the CM TX3 should keep watch of his processor temp.
cutting the heat pipes releases the working fluid(liquid/vapor) inside it, rendering the cooler almost useless since it basically relies on heat transfer by the working fluid(think of airconditioners or refridgerators with no freon). it's not designed for direct thermal conduction.
TS might not have noticed the vapor escape after cutting the pipes; the working fluid was at partial vacuum.
