What's with the 60/40 B.S.? When the entire country is owned by either 100% pure Chinese or Spaniard and now the Koreans are joining the bandwagon.

Juan de la Cruz is just a slave in his own land. Moreover, he is being exploited in more ways than one by most of these foreign immigrants.

Take note this immigrants are not even the 4th generation yet, that's how fast Juan de la Cruz became an alila.

^ Too many racist commie nazis got their dirty fingers into the making of our Constitution. They added pro-labor and anti-business provisions and they also added racist and discriminatory anti-foreigner provisions as well.

Chinese, Spanish, Korean, American, and other foreign governments have no intentions to invade our country anymore. Move on, we are not anymore in the colonial era where any foreign countries can conquer what they want and today these foreign individuals and corporations are investing around the world to provide jobs for the developing countries like us. Using your logic, Singapore should have been a part of China, England, or the United States right now because any foreigners can own businesses and land in Singapore with 100%. Using your logic, you should have to expel all foreigners in our country even though most of them are doing businesses. Using your logic, you should have prohibit anyone or yourself of using foreign technologies and inventions like internet or mobile phone. Using your logic, you should have not to be employed with any foreign companies whether here in the Philippines or especially abroad.

That's a BS argument of narrow-minded nationalists who one cares themselves for the sake of "national pride" over the economic freedom of any ordinary Filipinos. History shows that our local companies cannot support the vast job and consumption market of the Filipinos that results to massive unemployment or underemployment that later results to massive brain drain of our educated workers to developed or even fast-growing developing countries in Asia, Europe, and North America. That lousy and monopolistic economy of ours is a result of too harsh restrictive investment laws in our country especially to foreign investors that limits them to own only 40% of equity shares. You know what, foreign investors are not that stupid of letting their 60% of capital to be owned by local dummies and having 100% ownership of business especially to the foreigners will provide more security of their investments and can maximize their capital and profit for job creation and improving their services.

Kung akoa, akoa; kung iyaha, iyaha sab. Way pugsanay ug bahin sa kwarta.

Take note this immigrants are not even the 4th generation yet, that's how fast Juan de la Cruz became an alila.
It is proven by the history that countries that are open to immigrants are more economically and culturally vibrant and dynamic than with the countries that are close to immigrants. We must learn the culture of other countries in order to improve our own culture.

I smell a racist in Lytspr..

Our laws don't distinguish between children of immigrants and children of locals. Besides which, most of these Chinese and Spandiards you hate are already mixed race. Where are these 100% Chinese or 100% Spanish people you are talking about? They are in a very small minority, most have at least some intermarriage and are mixed race. Also it doesn't make a difference if they are 100% Chinese or Spanish, if they are born here they are considered Filipinos by law and by right.

Also, there are many successful ethnic Filipino businessmen. Pangilinan of PLDT is one of the richest businessmen in the Philippines and he is ethnic Filipino. There are other examples running smaller businesses but still hugely successful, traders bankers etc. We need time to develop entrepreneurial spirit but in the meantime to alleviate the oversupply of labor we need to increase the supply of jobs and the best way to do that is allow foreign companies to set up shop with 100% ownership here. Simple supply/demand economics is at work here. In Singapore they have very low unemployment rate (already considered practically 0% unemployment) and they are forced to import foreign labor to keep salaries from rising too much (they already #3 or 4 globally). The Philippines has a very high real unemployment rate.. almost close to 50% if you count underemployment and that is having a strong depressive effect on wages. Solution is either decrease labor supply (population) or increase jobs supply (more businesses).
