Para nako, the Church should not encourage this because if Jesus were here He would not be happy with people mutilating their own bodies even if the intention is to worship God.

Jesus stressed the importance of the body as the temple of God. (1Cor 6:19-20) This is why causing pain and suffering to others or to yourself is not good.

Daghan lang gyud religious fanatics who take their faith to the extreme not knowing that what they're doing already goes against the very faith they are so devoted to (suicide bombers , crusaders etc)

i don't agree with your point on minority or majority.... just because you are part of the minority/majority doesn't have anything to do with being correct or not....

A few hundred years ago, the majority thought that the earth was flat... only a minority believed that it was a sphere... so what did the majority do? they locked up, tortured and burnt these "heretics" cause they were the minority...

The old saying Majority rules may apply... but it does not say that the Majority is right all the time...

My point is... don't belittle someone just because they are the minority... you obviously look down on atheists from your way of speaking... asa na man tong tolerance and respect that catholics are supposed to show??/

I guess these pics are from Pampanga. In my experience, normal ra na didto. Siguro if people here are kapampangans, we wouldn't have this kind of negative reaction. Not to this extent..
