You can always convert the PDF file (or any file) yourself by using CALIBRE.
You can download it for free, just google it
Before I found out about the Kindle I have been using Mobipocket Reader on my phone and I also convert my PDF, DOC, RTF files to PRC by using the Mobipocket Creator/Reader for the PC. What I do is I right click on the file I want converted and just Open it using the mobipocket reader and a converted file will be in my eBooks folder in My Documents. However, the converted file may not be as smooth as the original, but still readable.
Just wondering what type of Kindle do you have and how much did it cost you?
I'm still planning to get one but the lack of ePub support is making me hesitant..

You can transfer your ebooks via USB by dragging and dropping it onto the Kindle, since the kindle acts like a flash drive of sorts. Formats supported right now are Kindle(Azw), PDF, Txt, Mobi, Prc, Html, Doc. Too bad it doesn't support ePub.
I am not aware of any 'jailbreak' for the Kindle. Kindle purchased in the US can be used in the Philippines or about anywhere really especially if you buy the Wifi only version. The 3g version can be used in over 100 countries and you don't even have to pay for the 3g.
To all istoryans who has a kindle, I would really appreciate a review of the product. Is it really worth buying one?
