Ako nakaadto gyod ko ug Oslob for Whale Shark Watching...okay man kay you are not allowed to touch the Butanding...

    PICTURES

I just want to let everyone know nga kanang tanan pictures ni'spread sa internet with abused whale shark by locals, ARE NOT FROM OSLOB. sa BOLJOON nana dapita which is silingan langnga lungsod sa Oslob. Im an oslobanon and i think its my part sad nga mo'defend sa akong province. Bisan ako nagsakit akong dughan nakakita sa mga pictures kay di jud to sya mao. ug sakit sad paminawon sa uban nga sa oslob daw tu which is dili jud. updates: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/video/nat...zSNluTPrwFl09R

    WHALE SHARK WATCHING

dugay2 nako wa kauli sa amua (for almost 3 months i think, unlike last-last year na every weekend) this is because sad sa work, but i know everything about sa whale shark watching sa among place because of my friends and relatives. and ang nag'manage sa location sa whale watching sa tan'awan kay ang family ra daw sa highschool classmate sa akong sister (SK chairman didto), according to him:

    Sharing of Income:
    Fishermen: 60%
    Municipal: 30%
    Barangay: 10%

This is based on the Municipal Ordinance approved by the Sangguniang Bayan of Oslob.

    TOURIST ATTRACTION

tungod sa mga pictures nga nikalat daghan na nagtuo nga sa oslob jud to, kami mga oslobanon kahibaw sad maghuna-huna ug mohatag ug importansya sa tanang blessings niabot namo. para namo blessings jud ang mga butanding , not in the sense nga nakakwarta but nasikat ug na-ila sad among lugar, kung huna-hunaon daghan kaau nindot nga area ang oslob , mura rag nahimong way ang mga butanding arun ma-discover sa uban tourist ang kanindot sa amung lugar. So, kung ingana man..nganung usik-usikan man tawon namo ang blessings na ni'abot kung sa pagtuo ninyo gi'abusar ra namo ang mga butanding. FYI, kung wa pa mo nka'try ug whale watching sa amoa. There are guidelines sa pag'whale watch like, kung mag'snorkling kelangan naay distance (feet or meters daw?) from butanding, dili pwede ang mohikap or motuntong nila kay samukan daw na sila, dili na daw pwede ang mga high end waterproof camera when watching (point&shoot ra daw pwede? ), only fishermen ra ang maka'pakaon nila. For in short, magtan'aw ra jud ka. Ug daghan pang guidelines wa ko ka'memorize, basta ang safety sad sa mga whale shark ang gi'priority didto. Kung huna-hunaon kinsa man sad ang dili ganahan makakita sa mga creatures pareha nila db? even ako, ganahan ko makakita..once in a lifetime ra man sad db?
    to be honest lang ha
I think you're not really concerned of these creatures but you're more concerned of Oslob recieving flaks from concerned public criticisms. Or simple just trying to save face on behalf of Oslob
Whether this is from Oslob or not, you should be concerned too and besides this "craze" started with Oslob when fishermen there started to "peddle" whaleshark feeding tours that's when these ignorant local tourists came flooding in. Then from there on, it went from bad to worst and these abuse has spread to it's neighboring towns most likely being influenced by Oslob.
    It's as clear as that!!!

this is very sad, ccording to my son who's a frequent swimmer in that area, kanang whale shark diay nga gisakyan sakyan sa balitang, natuloy man diay na sa pokot (note kasagaran nagpuyo dinha kay mananagat) mao nga na stranded na dinha kay naluya. Government should do something about this.

Now please let us not condemn this/these person/s in the images coz they're merely innocent individuals who thought it's cute or actually helping the tourism industry promoting the municipalities involved.

I think all we can do in the internet community is whenever we see these photos being bragged & posted in any social networking websites---facebook, flickr... just to name a few, is we condemn the act, respond with sensible messages to counter such intentions and discourage others from doing the same thing.

Kay naa mu post sa facebook mang hambog sa ilang ka ignoranted naa pud mas utro nga ignoranted dili pud paalkanse muadto then repeatedly doing the same actions...then its just a matter of time these creatures well succumb to fatique due to overmolestation and intrusive acts.
