even if the school rule is disregarding human rights?
academic independence over human rights, as stipulated by a UP Dean, is only for higher education which does not include elementary and High School
STC may be a college but THEY CANNOT implement such rule over activites outside school
BAGA rsab silag LEPS kung ilahang i OVER DO ilahang balaod. Unsa sila? GINOO?
sis ako mn unta elike 100x imong post pero wla man ang like button oie..hehehe agree zillion times nalang jud cgro ko nmo sis...imagine u were in ur college days already then not allowed ang hair dyeing still? meaning to say STC is indeed VERY STRICT. And I bet the students already know that but still broke the skol policy mao ni cons nila karon. Cguro kni mga bataa ng huna2 lang og hapi2 nawagtang sa ilang mind and cons sa ilang own actions. And of course after how many years of studying to the rescue daun ang Parents (which is normal) siempre about graduation ngud ang naka taya..dili lalim ma estudyante bya jud in a catholic institution..u have all the skol policies to follow. Maybe these students also were trying to intentionally break the skol rules for fun reasons. Dili bya lalim dli mkgrad tungod lang sa nahitabo pero that's reality, if u don't follow what's in the school rule book then u get the chance to face cons...a very serious cons..sus ka ulaw ani hitabo-a. Pero salig jpon ko STC. If ever naay Parents mg ask nako asa nice na skol, i wud still recommend STC. For me, they are setting a good example to students na kng bala-od kai bala-od jud. ^_^ Mao na madlang people, kong ipa enroll ninyo inyong mga anak sa isa ka catholic institution, you too should also know how rules are to be abide para naay mas maka guide sa estudyante..diba? Everyone knows nman tingali na bawal gani makit-an ang students (esp from a catholic school) in a mall strolling and still wearing their uniforms. Lesson: Students should all the time abide to school policies.
Sayup mnpud pero sa sinugdanan palang unta kng ni sunod nis bala-od mga bataa walay ingn ani mahitabo karon..cguro sa kni hitabo-a nkita sad nto unsa ka strong and firm ang STC sa ila policies pero in a wrong way nalng. And at the same time makita sad nato ang cons kng ma unsa ang student kng lu-ag ra pg follow sa policy sa school na gibelongan nila.
What I'm about to say has not been published on newspapers, but I assure you, the students/parents had no qualms with the sanctions. Both parties (with the support of the Parent-Teachers Association) have already met and agreed on it- including not being able to attend the graduation ceremony- a month prior to graduation.remember unsa ilang(STC) rason nganu mao ni ang punishment?
initially ipapang limpyo rman ta sa school grounds... but NO! kay kuno mag enjoy ang student
they wanted to let the student EXPERIENCE something that THEY(student) would remember(their mistake)
obviously, gus2 sila(STC) ug psychological effect
in which, the parents reacted! considering nga dli sab IGNORANTE ang parents kay Science field pud bya tawon (A DOCTOR in fact)
The actual event that triggered the 1st lawsuit was the conduct/grade of "C" that was given to the students. Initially, STC gave these students a "D" but later upgraded this to "C" after appeals from the parents. Apparently this one student was set to enroll in DSLU but a grade/conduct of "B" (STC equivalent) is needed to be admitted to the university. So again, the parents appealed to further improve the conduct/grade to a "B" so that she can be admitted to DSLU. STC denied their requests.
It all went downhill from there.
Now, I have no assurance that this is 100% true, but this is actually from a very reliable source.

sala lage sa mga students... kahibaw na ta anah.. but can anyone present a statement or a stronger reason for defying the TRO? this is really an insult to our Philippine law.. is it right nga para lang jud ma implement ang sanctions or para lang jud mapanindigan ang rules and regulations sa inyo skul kay dapat ba jud kontrahon ang SUPREME COURT? lage we all know grabe jud ug panindigan sa ilang mga rules ang stc.. but can anyone explain or enlighten me about the TRO issue? unsa man jud ila basis sa pag defy? cge defective man kaha, so if tan-aw nila defective, pwede na diay di ta mosunod ug court order? aw ingon ani na diay ni ang bala-od sa pilipinas?
at the same time, babaw ra kaau ang skwelahan para i consider ang character grade which would only show on documents and nothing else
a document is nothing compared to the psychological effect the other part of the sanction can do
kompromiso nlng pud unta to. in favor of the student. if that happened(if thats really the case)
wla unta na muabot aning storyaha... niyabo-ay ang show
in the end, its gonna be the court who is going to decide
but the sad thing is, its not about the issue above but the issue filed in court
and to add to that, the STC's action against the TRO
just for the school to get the last laugh
is this how STC admins bring pride to themselves?
Para nako, kung unsa man ang resulta ani nga case, ang alkanse gihapon kay ang katong mga students nga wala maka paso sa ilahang graduation.... once in a lifetime experience ra jud baya ni, unless if mo paso sila inig next year's graduation?
