well its not the school's problem either. Yes I myself a student now agrees that mas dako jud ug time ang usa ka student sa school but mind you, these pictures were taken on a family affair so I dont think naai labot ng school ani. Mura ragud nang gibunalan kas imung lola kai naa kai nabuhat nga bati kuyog imu mama ug papa. Unsai mafeel sa parents ana? Your examples of trauma are very far from this one. Nganu gikompara mana nimu sila aning di makapaso. Pareho ra diay nang pabarogon kas gawas or whatsoever sa di ka papasohon? Are those things you mentioned you can consider milestones of your life? I am not saying nga punishment should be tam.is as what you referred it to be. Why not just suspend those students ngano kelangan paman jud i take away pajud nila ang usa sa mga memorable moments sa ilang kinabuhi. Not all people pareho sa imung mga friends nga ok lang nila di sila kapaso. Lahi2 tag experiences that makes us who we are. Thats my point![]()
guys as much as i want to go on and have a wonderful discussion with everyone here, it's getting late and typing on a virtual keyboard is slow and frustrating. i bid you all goodnight. you all make great arguments except for the trolls. night night!
i feel for the kid ... but i'm with the nuns here ...![]()

That is not the case. At least not with me. I simply think that making the issue public is what's creating the trauma as opposed to the parents' saying that the school's punishment is what's creating the trauma. As was stated here repeatedly by some posters and myself, this is not the first time that students from different schools were punished or were not able to attend the graduation ceremonies because of something they did. A lot of them actually do well afterwards.
They have a better chance of getting over this whole mess quickly if this wasn't made public. You know why? Because they'll be going off to college this June - new environment and more people who don't know about the incident than people who do. Perfect for leaving the past behind. Plus, there's college graduation looming over the horizon, a graduation they just might be able to attend. But since the issue has been made public, a lot of people as well as other schools - probably schools the students are eying to enroll in - know about the issue now. They might be bullied or be subject to back biting, simply because the people who don't necessarily need to know, know.

as you may noticed...there is a huge difference between teenagers of today and the teenagers several years back...
ug gahi kag ulo sa una...mas gahi clag ulo ron...
ug garaon kas una...mas garaon na cla ron...
ug ikaw wala kai respeto sa imong ginikanan...mas wala na clay respeto ron...
so dli cla papasohon..c knsa mn sad ngsugo nila nga mag ingato cla? c kinsa mn sad ng sugo nla nga ipost to sa facebook?
suspension? suspension is too mild...if suspension....mu.ana rana...ai makapaso ra ghapon ko...no biggy...
mu.ana rana...it's just suspension...in a few days mupaso ghapon ko..graduate ghapon ko...
ang suspension mura rakag gdapog anah..and mana..that's it...
ang pgkawala anang imong gtwag na memorable moment...mao ang bayad sa ilang pagpatara sa ilang kaugalingon...
unsa sila 3 years old...kabalo cla unsa sakto unsa saup...kablo cla sa rules and regulations...and yet they choose do defy it...
since they defied it...a sanction has been given to them...
mao ni...
sa kalami way reklamo...
sa kasakit...dghan kasikas...
Does this mean a student from STC is shackled to what the school dictates or wants as long as she is enrolled in STC? Who shall dictate that it is "unchristian"? The principal?
I thought the school was for guidance...and guidance alone. They should go back to the spanish area and stay there.
This clearly shows that the school was a failure in 'guiding' these girls. Yes, their parents have a bigger responsibility but the school is also responsible and by barring them from attending their graduation corrects that? Sick!
To STC: Open your eyes and admit that you too produce a lot of failures since you do not adapt to the modern times. I will never send my kids nor recommend your school.
Followed then

So which part in their handbook or in any school handbook did it say that "Those wearing Bikini's could not graduate?". It maybe a factor to determine a persons character but does it prove that they are slu+s?
If you talk to us about rules, please educate us on such rules and cite facts not belief.
And what was the lesson learned? If you wear a bikini and post it in FB you do not graduate? come on.
Does wearing a bikini, having a glass of champagne while holding a smoke make you a slu+?
Are you implying that humiliation is the best kind of discipline since that is what is happening?
Oh please do explain.
just my opinion..
the Fact, is that a student made a violation therefore a punishment should be made..
i think if Stc's punishment were justifiable, then i think there will be no media frenzy and public criticisms..
What should be done is that the punishment should be reformative and restorative and not traumatic and harsh..
but since the issue draws alot of controversy.. then there must me something wrong here..
if the issue is morality then the punishment should be morally acceptable also.
(the definition of morally acceptable by itself has a vauge meaning depending on the person,
in the case of stc, its ok. But in the case of the family, its traumatic.)
...
for those who support stc's stand, what would you do if it was your child was d one who wouldn't join the grad rites?
for those against it, what should be d wright thing that stc should do?.. you just cant let them get away with it when they clearly violated a school rule..
