not because it's legal per Philippine constitution that makes it automatically allowed. it's not illegal to wear casual clothes per Philippine constitution but school regulations expect students to wear a uniform when inside school premises on school days and once violated, they will be sanctioned or not allowed to enter the school premises. same thing. kanang legal2x inyo giingon is not applicable kay again it's in their handbook nga dili sila dapat mubuhat ato but still ila gibuhat, so the school has every right to sanction the students. wala namo mabuhat kng mao na nadecidan sa school admins. wla mn sila gipasakitan, or gimaltrato, they were just not allowed to partake in their grad rites.

guol mn diay silag di sila paapilon, ila ta gihuna2x ug maayo kng dapat ba to ipost sa FB ilang pics. sorry to say this, but garaon lng gyud ning mga teenagers karn. even kadtong HS ko, garaon pud ko lol but if i acted up, i always weighed things kng excessive na ba and what possible consequence id get. and believe me, kadaghan pud ko nakatilaw anang sanction2x but i never rallied that my rights were violated. heck, my father even told me to straighten up, he'd never condone stupid antics so i guess im glad my parents dont tolerate my BS.

should we let our children and future children do as they please...

should we let them run around at night...

should we let them get intoxicated publicly and clean after their vomit?

    should we do that?

we spent more time at school...shouldn't the school at least do something to influence our behavior and future behavior?

anywhere you go there are rules and regulations...and there are sanctions must you break any of these set rules...

if one cannot adhere to the rules of an academic institution can you expect that someone to adhere to any rules, regulations whatsoever?

students are expected to know the rules and regulations of their academic institution....therefore, why resort to such actions?

technically, they dug their own grave....for crissakes it is FACEBOOK it is a social networking site...of course..someone...friend or foe will see whatever foto you posted there...and obviously, it will find its way to the school's admin...

the sad part is...naa nmn unta d.i cla nasabutan...nano gpadako paman ug maau?

with regards to trauma...should we spare every single child who committed a mistake from punishment so that they will not end up traumatized?
I guess that's the job of the parents already and not the school. With regards to breaking rules, unsaon man pag tuman sa studyante sa balaod sa skwelahan nga bsan ang skwelahan di man gane mutuman sa korte? There should be a punishment man jud if they broke regulations of the school but that kind of punishment di nana mawagtang sa utok sa mga studyante sobra ra kaau na for me. Akong opinion bow

are you saying that stc has the right to do anything they seem fit? irregardless if it violates the law of the land? is this how they teach values? if it doesnt jive with what they want that they can easily shrug a court order?

the school used academic freedom as “an excuse to impinge on the personal rights and freedom of their students."

Kamo kuno ang student(s), accept the sanction where you can still get your diploma with good grade in conduct or pugson nimo nga mopaso pero lifetime nimo dad-on ang kauwaw tungod sa kaso, damay pa imong family, pag eskwela ug future career? WHAT WILL BE YOUR BEST CHOICE?

This issue could have been limited and known within the school until the parents filed a case against the school which then sensationalized by media.

again, their rules on these matters, were they not in their handbook already prior to enrolling? it's already there, right? so the moment the parents enrolled their kids to that school that's tantamount to agreeing to their rules. the schools dis not just spontaneously come up with these rules after finding out those pics, it's already an existing rule but the students violated so as students and parents, they should respect what the school's decision is on the matter.

and dnt be too broad in saying that i would agree to "anything" the school see fit for my (future) kid. when selectiv school for my kid, their rules, reputation, level of strict ess will be taken into account. if i find their curriculum, rules, reputation not to my liking then i wont subject my child to their care. simple.

headbutting two idiots won't create one intelligent person. it seems that both parties has decided to pursue things thru to the end, regardless how nasty things may become.

If both of you read the facebook note, you should know why the school defied the court order.

    TRO

Although a TRO was given the day before the commencement exercises, the guards at STC still did not let the young ladies enter the school and attend the rites.

According to Atty. Balili, the TRO issued by Judge Navarro did not comply with the requisites making it defective. The said TRO had no bond to signify damages. Without the bond, the TRO is invalid.
