Where did the Battle of Mactan happened? In Camotes or in Lapu-lapu?

That is the map of Pigafeta showing what appears to be the island of Mattam, in between zubu and Bohol.....in the previous post someone said that Camotes is between cebu and Bohol.... sa akong pag.tan.aw sa mapa balik kay Camotes is between cebu and Leyte...not cebu and bohol....

akong opinion ani is this.....it maybe possible that it happened in Camotes.... but kung ang evidence lang nga gipakita are armors and etc.....naa sad possibility nga dili na kang magellan and his troops..... naa say possibility nga naa jud tinuod nahitabo nga battle diha sa camotes, BUT.... with another troops who are later than magellan.....with regards to having no evidence whatsoever of magellans troops in Mactan island, cebu....naa daw sa Southwestern University Museum....

Im open to this possibilities....pwedi man bah nga didto gihapon mahitabo sa Camotes....Pero that will not change the fact nga Cebuano gihapon si Lapulapu since Camotes i think is still apart of Cebu Province...

The problem with the map is that it is wildly inaccurate. And one could presume that those little islands include what we know as the island of Mactan today while the big one is Camotes. I'm wondering if those green things on the map represent mountains or forests, because if they represent mountains, then definitely Pigafetta wasn't referring to present day Mactan.

Like everyone says, we need more evidence, but let's keep looking and keep our minds open.

Wait, wait, I looked it up, Pigafetta has a SEPARATE map of Camotes kuno. If someone can find it, please post it.

Well, I think this puts a big hole in the Camotes theory. Pigafetta does mention the Camotes group in his accounts, even pointing out that it was made up of three islands. *poof* I just don't understand why it took so long for Magellan to sail to Mactan.

Im open to these possibilities....pwedi man bah nga didto gihapon mahitabo sa Camotes....Pero that will not change the fact nga Cebuano gihapon si Lapulapu since Camotes i think is still apart of Cebu Province...

this similar to asa jud ang first mass, sa Limawasa or sa Masao Butuan.... they have different way of navigating and marking saun compared sa karon... we cant say sakto mo or sakto mi or sakto sila we are not the expert on this its better lets wait untill they officially announced it
