In reality , when person has been choked and by the nature of how he or she was choked as to what I described by damaging the larynx or trachea , no one has the balls enough to grab someone else's balls . They are more concern of their BREATHING by holding their own neck trying to gasp some fresh air .

cant just a ordinary guy do eye gouge or any other dirty trick and not count it as Dumog? then if this is the case, then Dumog will be literally be considered an ACT rather than a martial art.

bitaw, w/ due respect to any martial arts, a person is said to be more effective if he has acquired different effective skills from different martial arts compared to a person who only knows one style... it has already been proven off and on the ring.

dirty fighting style? hmmm, i want to learn that someday pero i don't think i want to use that in case i get into a fight, pero in case somebody would try to kill me, then that's the time i'll probably make use of it cguro.

Not necessarily using MARTIAL ARTS but the COMPARISON of BJJ and DUMOG . Its not even DUMOG ncessarily also but the use of DIRTY FIGHTING that is not related to GRAPPLING at all . I personally dont consider DUMOG as a MARTIAL ART but a form or technique in FIGHTING . On the otherhand , MARTIAL ARTS is not just about FIGHTING . The topic is not about DUMOG and MARTIAL ARTS but DUMOG and BJJ .

when u said "he used dumog" , u were referring to the act itself. unless if u consider all dirty tricks as a part of Dumog ONLY. which i strongly disagree coz these dirty tricks are common knowledge. the ninja are famous in the movies for their eye attacks using sand, but u cant say "he used ninja against me" if i used it to blind my opponent. so why can u say "he used dumog against me" when chocomai eye gouged?

i really dont know about Dumog's curriculum. so i cant say how it differs from BJJ stylewise, not considering mindset and strategies.

It wasnt meant for the word DUMOG but it is a fact that its part of it . DUMOG is a very generalized word . it could mean anything not related to MARTIAL ART and you are exactly right . I dont even know WEHO tagged as NINJUTSU as a MARTIAL ART when for a fact that NINJA's are assassins and not even warriors at all . They developed a skill good enough to destroy and elimnitae the SHOGUNATE and SHOGUNS of FEUDAL JAPAN who pratices a loty of Japanese martial Arts to include Samurai swords . Doesnt that relate to something a form of technique good enough to survive and win in a fight that " DOMINATES " .

Thats why I said NO DISRESPECT to the BJJ , it just so happen that it has only proven its effectivity inside the ring , mat , octagon etc . Otherwise we all probably seen how DUMOG was applied in the street with multiple attackers or just plain one on one .

DUMOG for me is an " ALL OUT GIVE YOUR BEST SHOT " and you probably can picture it out now what it is .

if this is the case, then we all know this "dumog" based on our instincts alone ( instincts to survive) and an added knowledge of other martial arts such as BJJ would be supplementary and give a better advantage than the one with just plain dumog. (again, if its just this "all out...")

but i still think this dumog that sinyalan is referring to is a specific Filipino martial art with a set of techniques and drills that is mastered by a few. And not just an "all out...." act. because in his previous posts, he mentioned names who are teaching these and even places where its from.

but again, my respects to bro sinyalan only he can clarify this coz he knows it first hand.

ive read the link to the dumog site. its definitely not the "all out give it ur best shot" thing ur talking about.
it talks about a dumoguero with specific pepper training, using poison hands blah blah blah. but again this source may just be "palami" so that the non-filipino guys wud be impressed.
