and MRV or SSV or LPD is not a battleship it is basicly a Transport + Field Command Center/Hospital, it is not intended to go on the front-line.

it has basic facilities like Helicopter Landing and Hangar, can launch amphibious vehicle/smaller vessel from its well deck, it can be converted into a floating hospital (the navy used to have one), or a command center during war...

possible that every MRV there will be MBLT (Marine Battalion Landing Team) attached to it, either way marines belong to the sea not on land, because they are the AFP's seaborne ground pounder... this is similar pud sa US that every LPD it has its own company of marines...

acquiring this asset is very essential to our navy since we are an archipelago, it can be used also during the disaster specially in relief operation, it can also be used to expatriate OFW on any country that is in turmoil (like what happen to lebanon and libya), it can be used floating hospital...

i clarify lang nako DILI NI SIYA BATTLESHIP but a MULTI-PURPOSE TRANSPORT

pero armado gihapon ni siya but only for defense... possible naa juy mag escort ani niya...

just be reminded guys to refrain from posting any distinct features or capabilities this girls can do, OPSEC... the enemies are readin, listening and watching...

if memory serves me right UH-60 is very expensive to maintain compared to sokol, i have to find that post about the operational cost of various helicopter... to confirm it

i prefer sokol over UH-60... all the features nimo giingon pwede na mabuhat sa sokol heck even the UH-1 with limited capacity lang...
