Don't be too judgemental with the incident kay wala ta kakita sa picture na maoy atong basihan aning hitaboa... In short, we are way overboard with our allegations to the school which somewhat we don't know nothing the real score of the incident... Para makahibalo ka sa panghitabo, pakisusi lang didto sa STC ug basi makapakita sila nemo sa picture nga mao gibasehan nila sa ilang sanction... If not, we'll just have to wait as court officials are weighing out the allegations on both parties.

"Judge Navarro told both parties the sole issue to be resolved is whether the student was afforded due process by the school administration, before they decided to bar her from the graduation ceremony."

Take a cue from the above-mentioned quote: The only issue to be resolved resolve by the court is only "whether or not the student was afforded due process?" Due process is a law that hears before it condemn and render judgment only after trial. Thus, there is a violation of the school policy but the issue or the question is whether the parents were given an opportunity to ventilate their side before the judgment of the school.

In sum, the discussion whether it is obscene or lewd is way off the line since the court had spoken that the only issue to be resolved is whether the school afforded the parents due process.

most elitist ladies today espcially those elite Cebu socialites came from STC..

sadly most girls I know that graduated from STC before, after graduation, either got pregnant immediately or got married or just went from a good girl to a bad one...

I guess it happens to all of us that since its an All Girls school... when your almost going to be out of the school's wall... the REAL WORLD is not totally what is being taught at you inside....

^^ so in short, students from STC are not exposed to what our recent world from sins, vices, etc. It's like from a song that "Good Girls Go Bad", where the teachings & values of the school are not brought up to the students and rebelled what their other side can do to provoke those values taught in school.

Oh well, the outside world is so harsh to grasp with sad realities.

Schools have a right to promulgate rules, regulation and policy under the principle of "Academic Freedom", as long as it is not contrary to law and public policy. In the event of violation of the said rules and regulation, the school has the right to impose corresponding sanction and penalty. If you dont agree with the school policy, you are free to find other school of your own choice.

If STC had made lapses with not giving a sanction to the girl on due process, then they had a big mistake and justified with that action.

If the girl who had also made lapses on posting her picture (allegedly indecent/lewd) even outside the school premises which on the regulations of the school still pertains are proven related to the violation, then she & her family must concede the decision of the school.

This incident may not be occured if the girl doesn't posted the picture on her facebook because she is aware that it might & might be shared by here fellow friends whom she said that it is private to her to see with friends only & one of her friends shared it to the admin regarding the picture on her birthday party.

If ako ang girl on her mind, "Sus, ako kaha ni i-post sa facebook samtang I wear bikini with a cigar on my left/right hand? Kasab.an ko ani sa ako Mama ug makit-an palang ni uroy sa amo school admin, basig ma-sanction palang ko. Graduating pa ra ba unta ko."

PS: As I've said, we are just doing assumptions without witnessing the real incident there in the first place. Let's give both parties an explanatory on their uphold decisions & allegations in due time.
