.. actually I already called DTI and reported AUDIONET AND AEROPHONE, DTI said that they are looking at the matter at hand and that this "law" only had been implemented late last year and that some establishments might haven't adapted to the new scheme. All I can say is.. yeah right, lame excuse from DTI.

... and what's funny is the new marketing strategy of some of the establishments. Just like Aerophone, i called to inquire the price of Sony Ericsson's w850i, they gave me two prices: one is 18, 580/credit card, but the sales lady said, if i'm going to buy it cash they would give me a discount and shall be priced down to 17, 480. But i already inquired two days prior to my report to DTI and they gave me a cash price of 18, 580 but if i'm going to use credit card it's gonna be 21, 200 .... should i say.. GOTCHA. hehe

dapat pud na banatayan kay maybe the 5k is not the "original" price. naa na surcharge apil nya g ingon lang nga kung cash is lower ang price. basi d i mag minarukoy =)

- Yahoo has in no way any connection because they are mediums only to get ideas . Its even a free search engine for your sake .

- Nitawag ka or ni adto doesnt matter . I wouldnt even stress out to find out if you did , heck how would I know if you really went or called and talked to a financial expert . Its your call not mine , its not my bank and its not my credit card .

- No its the POLICY of your BANK . You issuing bank , thats why I asked you to go to your ISSUING BANK and not searched the engine from YAHOO and any other websites you find .

- Ayaw lage pagpataka kay ang issue diri is the ISSUING BANK and the RETAILER . Kung wala ang bangko nimo maka-utang kaha ka ? Having a credit card is not an option if you dont want to carry wads of moolah ,thats why you ATM right ? You cant get a CC if you dont have a an EXISTING ACCOUNT with that ISSUING BANK , therefore you have an account and dont tell me hantod karon ga BANKBOOK lang gihapon ka . Now tell where did I confuse people on that ?? Kung i approve na sa BANGKO nimo or dili , does that make sense now between your transaction and the retailer ?

- ANDAMON nako ang $ 100 ? Ikaw nag andam naka sa kampanya nimo ni TRILLIANES ??

- Just go to your BANK and ask why there are SURCHARGES . Simple as that . There might be a LAW being enforced but ask first your BANK why .

... dagget, what you gave is very informative but then the problem is they are only being applied in countries outside the philippines' you've mentioned Thailand and Australia. But what about here in the philippines, or in Cebu to be specific ?? What i'm trying to say is, you know the AMEX POLICY, why don't you bring that information weapon with you and present it to DTI. Or lash out at one of those establishments on the list coz i myself already called Aerophone that i reported them to DTI. What i did might be small, but at least they ( aerophone ) knows that there are consumers who has a know-how about these new law of no-surcharge.

... we as consumers are entitled to demand and exercise our rights.

BANKS ARE OPERATING/OFFERING CREDIT CARDS... like HSBC, Citibank, Metrobank....

when there's a problem or just an inquiry about your credit card, who should you ask ?? It's the bank that operates your credit card.

For example: i have Citibank Visa and i want to inquire about their PAY-LITE service, i'm not going to call to VISA but to Citibank. It's really as simple as that.

That is the WHOLE concept that I am pursuing , its NOT VISA nor MASTERCARD nagpa-utang niom but ang ISSUING BANK . All transactions are between the CONSUMER and the RETAILER . All PROCESSING FEES are with the RETAILER and the ISSUING BANK . SImple logic .... w/o that BANK , pautangon kaha ka sa RETAILER ??

This is untrue. I just came home from a short visit to L.A. I used my PCI credit card in purchasing the ticket and PAL didn't charge me any additional payments except the taxes.
