usa ra jud akong masulti aning mga azkals... mga hambogero...
Do we really "need" foreigners? That says a lot about the country...When we have to rely on foreigners to take the spotlight into an aspect, such as football/soccer. Of course malubong ang Pilipinas! Football is a popular sport in Thailand and other SE Asian countries, ang Pilipinas relatively new ra nah ni sikat (and by sikat I mean mainstream nah). As for imung gi sulti nga lupig ang Pilipinas ug basket sa uban SE Asian countries, I don't believe it. Mang-import paman gani ang mga other SE Asian countries ug pinoy players. (See ASEAN Basketball League)
The point is, if it will take foreigners to rejuvenate the interest of football, then that says a lot about the Filipino society. And if you're saying being in that team is without perks, you are kidding yourself.
mas nindot man siguro bay ireserve nimo imo judgment until maproven jud kung unsa juy nahitabo. anyone can say anything in this country and proclaim it as gospel. if nakasa then parusahan ug todo, pero naa man jud tay due process. nakarelease naman ug statement ang team kung unsa juy nahitabo and having experienced playing with my old high school varsity team for more than 3 years, makaingon ko nga pwede sad to misunderstanding ang nahitabo the same way pwede sad disrespect ang nahitabo. we will never know until naa siguroy mugawas nga video or audio recording to prove otherwise.
and please dont make it sound like there are no rapists in a "pure filipino" society. UAAP pa lang gani..
unsa may problima ana^ uy nga sakto man si arn2x
grabe ka onion skin pud ninyo
as to the question if we need foreigners. YES we do. for now. or else football will continue to die the way it used to before our filipino-foreigners arrived. And because of the success they gained in 2010, the local football scene is reaping the team's rewards. nisikat ang sport diri, nikusog ang mga local leagues, nitarong ang top football league in the country - the United Football League. however, this league is still semi-professional pero grabe ang growth since the Azkal's achievements in 2010. likewise, niimprove ang grassroots programs sa country. in the long run, ang next generation sa philippine national football team, mas dako na ang possibility nga gikan ani nga mga programs. question, if the country still continued fielding inexperienced local-based pinoys who could hardly draw a game, let alone win one, do you think football will experience what it is experiencing now in the country?
and about the ASEAN basketball league. yes. that is exactly what i was talking about. the latest champions are thais. we were beaten by the chang thailand slammers, composed of Filipinos.yes, bay. they are doing exactly the same thing the Filipino Football Federation is doing.
again, let me ask you this, if philippine football continued its slow decline without the fil-foreigners, do you think it would still progress in this country?
and one more thing, mangnaturalize man gani ang mga european countries ug foreigners. apila pa ang japan, singapore, and indonesia. may na lang philippines kay pinoy man. wa may naturalization nahitabo. awa ang france ug germany nga team bay para mamulat sad ka sa ethnicity sa mga players sa mga gahi nga footballing nations.

OT:
@ongkal: why dont we help aulim in their archery development program by giving him the contact person and details (football sponsors) for getting sponsor support in archery.
@aulim: congrats on our Philippine Team- Archery Ladies (compound) winning the bronze.
in my opinion, i have to agree with arnold clavio... its not about racism here but the sexual harrassment of azkals ang issue dire...
if you are to read in newspapers or other news websites, majority of the media men supported arnold clavio. ang abs-cbn ra against ni arnold clavio... wa mo ka gets nga uyab baya si phil younghusband og angel locsin... of course laban jud ang abs-cbn kang phil younghusband & azkals...
please read this article:
Angel defends Phil and Azkals team - Yahoo! OMG! Philippines
pastilan, nasakitan daw siya sa commentaries ni arnold clavio... kay lagi uyab niya si phil... pero wala niya huna hunaa nga azkals really hurting our pinay/s... babaye man unta ni si angel locsin adto man siya modapig sa mga bastos nga azkals...
Dan Palami who owns a multi-million Peso international railway engineering company is also the team manager. the federation also gets financial support from FIFA. ang ila sang mga trainings abroad are part of the fruits sa ilang naachieve pag2010. The German football federation pays for the coach (national football team coaches around the world normally earn $1500/week) not to mention training support which the team took advantage of last year. the Japanese and Bahrain football federation also likewise pledged support in helping in the team's training last year which is why the team chose to train in those 3 countries. kani tanan support sa foreign governments kay nakuha nila after sa ilang nabuhat pag2010. sa ako sad nahibawan, the team also receives financial support from companies such as Kia and Cortex.
Dan Palami, who is also the Leyte Football Association president, is very passionate about football which is why the Philippine Football Federation is very blessed to have him.
if you want the same support for the sport you love then i suggest you find a person like Dan Palami. You shouldnt go around whining why your favorite sport gets zero support from the government when what our football team gets is more or less the same.
