when i started calling our congressman BOLAY-OG ... the BOLAY-OG's Bolay-ogs took issue with it ... they became agitated every time i mentioned the word BOLAY-OG ...
BOLAY-OG is a Bisdak term for someone who is Greedy and Unreasonable and a Bully ... our congressman whose office is responsible for correcting the 20 year wrong ... seems to be more interested in preventing the correction of that wrong ... despite examples of 14 precedents as argument to make Consolacion/Cordova a separate district ... this makes him BOLAY-OG to my Mandauehanon mind ...
BOLAY-OG didn't even confer with the other local government executives of the district about this matter ...![]()
if you stop presenting your side of the issue ... that means you've lost all points to defend in the argument ...
that means your cause is not really worth it ...
i am certain of the nobility and righteousness of my argument ... perhaps you can learn something positive from your failure ...![]()
my point is very simple, with a friendly unsolicited advices. this is not lecturing you in any way.
1. your thread title in my opinion is not appropriate. everybody knows that it is always right to correct a wrong. every person with a sane mind would agree that it is always right to correct a wrong. so, it is needless to ask such kind of question, if you are serious about it. so don't be offended if I find it ridiculous.
2. stop calling names. stop using offensive words. calling a person bolay-og won't help you achieve what you want.
3. approach this thing professionally. consider what others have to say or have an open mind to others opinion and suggestion.
4. approach the right person, the right agency and the right venue. approach in a positive way.
5. be guided accordingly, don't get lost and don't be carried away by your emotions.
all stated above. my suggestions for you are the ff:
1. draft a letter/proposal. state your reasons, objectives and purpose. if you have city officials in your favor, have them sign your letter. have all other people that support your cause to sign it.
2. send it to the congressman. send it to media.
3. expect a reply. entertain interviews and air your side.
4. if no reply to you, at least the media can do a follow-up or you can initiate a follow-up thru the media.
5. accept the result of your endeavor. if it's not in your favor, then at least you have done your part. be patient.
6. it's not yet the end of the world. another congressman might be elected that will make your dreams into fruition.
I really understand your frustrations but I know you are professional enough to weigh things if it's going in the right direction or not. we don't have to waste our resources and energy debating it here. this will not make your mandaue a lone district. as you can see, you did not get a positive result with all the bashing and name calling here. this very the same thing have been discussed with your other threads, so I guess you already learned a lot of things from there already.
I hope you get my point.
so what do you say about my example ... that the 3rd district Manila can be used as argument for the making of Consolacion/Cordova into another district ... together with the making of my Mandaue into Lone District ...
you haven't answered this point yet ...![]()
