i organizing a debut this month. debuts doesnt have to b so expensive and grand in terms of expenses. first, make use of ur place if u have a big area at home. if u have a camera, ask someone to take pictures. ( probably someone who loves photography) in that way, u dont have to spend so much on video and photography.
for the gowns, u dont need a famous designer. ask friends who have talent in designing. ask them to do a design for u instead.
* party favors/ give aways, make ur own. ask family members or friends to help u.
* invites: same with party favors.. make ur own.

with the help of ur friends, relatives and family members, u can now have a beautiful debut that doesnt cost much. yet fairly and equally elegant like others.

para sa uban na ga think pag nice idea for their debut..

theme: halloween since my birthday is nov 1. very timely ang theme.
gown: it wasn't a gown but dresses.. i have 3 dresses prepared. 1st is a pink one, for my production number-dancesport samba and chachacha, since i am a dancesporter.hehe. after dinner, i change outfit into purple with a purple witch hat for my debutante's entrance, it signifies the start of the programme proper. the 18 witches (candles), 18 vampires (roses) and 18 treats (treasures). 3rd dress is the red one, for the start of the 3rd part of the program- disco,party and socials.
venue: Golden Peak Hotel. lami ang food and nice ang party package and super lami kaayo ang cake. I have costumized my cake to the design i have searched here on net and they really made it perfectly.
giveaways: human skeleton bought from toy kingdom. hehe.
invites: i made it myself with the help of a friend sa pagtahi sa mga envelopes.

I have planned my debut myself. My parents are so far away by that time, they went here in cebu, 1 day before my debut. hehe. all they do is just send me money. hehe ! I am so happy because its worth my efforts and very fulfilling to plan a debut of ur own.. happy sad ko kay walay guest nga pasaway, ni sunod jud sila sa akoang gusto, nag effort jud silang tanan sa ilahang costumes labi na akoang mga 18witches,18vampires and 18treats.. =)

Hi Sis!Turning 18 can be really exciting...

Here are my suggestions for your debut:

theme:American Idol,Musicians(The ones that you like or imung gi idolize),RockGlam,You can dress up as one of them.Just google a picture of them and then follow lang their attire,since you want it to be a concert like theme man kaha.

where:There's a lot of cheap places out there to rent, all you have to do is ask your friends or search for it sa internet.Pwede sad,if you have a big space at home,anha na lang...Maka save pa ka ug daku.My cousin's was at Cebu City Sports,atbang sa Marriott Ayala, we rented the Sinulog 1 & 2,which costs 40,000...It can hold up to 130 persons .Sa akong sister kay sa Bubble Bee Teahouse, near Parkmall, we rented the whole second floor and we had the place exclusively, it costs 30,000.

giveaways:The swans,fans,figurines are not so in these days...Ang uso karon kay cupcakes,monogrammed cookies,monogrammed chocolates and such.Again,try googling...Helpful kaayo na.

program:Since yours (I think is not so formal) Try and collaborate sa imung MC and then tell him what you want to happen the entire time.
*Make the guests settle down.
*Welcome all the guests and let the MC say an introduction about you.
*Everyone welcomes the debutant.
*Dinner
*Memory Lane(pics of you from baby till you turned 1Played while the guests are eating.
*18 Candles/Treasures (you can rename them like Glamstars or such.
*18 Roses(rename like Rockstars)(you can also opt to play modern songs,choose those songs
that have a meaning between you and the guy you're dancing with)
*Games(like How well do you know the Debutant?)
*Father-Daughter dance.
*Debutant's speech.
*PARTY TILL AM!
