an update from the bureau of fire protection, cause of fire, overheated electric fan.

As I recalled the incident, when some neighbors tried to call 117 through a landline, they were transferred to another department so and so.. But calling through my cellphone, after reporting, I was asked right away about the location/address. When the one of the bureau agents was asked about that, he said it was Standard procedures to be transferred..

we had a blown/overheated electric fan before, wala man "masunog" literally or nag-kayo...ngano kaha ning uban noh?

my speculation is that it overheated with a curtain hanging over it.. recalling the fire tetrahedron or fire triangle, you have to have heat-air-fuel (eliminate one and you put out the fire).. since in most cases, air is already there, heat from the motor plus summer weather, adding the fuel like the curtain, you got the fire..
