PAF chopper crashes in Agusan del Norte; 7 hurt
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – Seven people got hurt after a Philippine Air Force (PAF) helicopter crash landed in Sitio Zapanta, Brgy. Bangayan, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The military said the UH-1H Huey chopper with tail number 317 was carrying 2 pilots, 2 soldier crew and 3 more passenger soldiers.
In a statement, the PAF said the “aircraft crashed while on its mission to airlift a wounded soldier for immediate medical treatment and to deliver additional provisions to operating troops in the area.”
All the passengers onboard only sustained minor wounds and bruises and they are now in stable condition.
PAF personnel from the Tactical Operations Group-10 is already conducting an investigation as to why the chopper crashed.
