is this is an upgrade itch(aron latest) i would say stick with c2q if i3 man lang imo choice. it may be faster, but not significantly faster unless u really have the need for more cpu processing power.

but if your mobo is only capable of ddr2 and u need to add more memory(more than 8gig?), then a platform change would be better. mobo+cpu+memory change.
