bringing pets to Cagayan de oro

Hi fellow istoryans.

I'm going to be moving to Cagayan de Oro later this year and I'm going to bring along my two red eared sliders and my dog with me. What papers/licenses/things do I need to get before I can bring them along with me via boat to cdo?

Has anyone tried doing something similar?

We use to participate in dog shows before & CDO was one of the venues.
Go to Bureau of Quarantine and secure permit.
Trust your dogs have their vaccs papers.
Sometimes you can bring your pets without anybody looking for a permit. That's all.
If going by air, there is usually a BoG at the airport.

for dogs, required paperwork kay rabies vaccine lang sa Quarantine. no need to bring the dog, just the proof nga naay anti-rabies.be sure to secure the permit within 3 days sa departure date nimo kay naay expiration ang permit. no hassle pag-kuha. "donation" ra man ang imong ihatag,hehe.

Bureau of Quaratine Office is located just in between Pier 1 and 2. Just present the health card of your dog, and pay a "donation" to the cashier. Then that's all. Use the permit for boarding purposes. Put your dog in a kennel box or any crate na safe cya.

when i brought my dog home sa cdo from cebu, gipakuha ko permit from quarantine office and bill of lading kay dako ra kuno akong iro. golden retriever, 8 months pa sha ato. then gi require ko ug crate. taman ra sha sa cargo area sa ship, dili allowed to bring him hear my bed even if naa sulod sa cage. luoy kaayo kay alimuot kaayo and saba sa may cargo. wa jud tawon nakatulog akong iro apil ako kay ngbantay. all in all i spent around 550. 50 as "donation" sa quarantine office, then 500 sa bill of lading and porter kay di sila mosugot ipa leash lang ang dog pasaka sa boat. this was in 2010. dunno if ng change na ang rules.
