This is the simplicity that came to my mind when I first laid my hands on HP S300 Digital Camera – a photographic device with simple features yet delivers exceptional image quality and shooting capabilities and styles.
The S300 is a slim point-and-shoot digital camera that offers 14.2MP resolution along with 720p HD video recording to capture stunning images and videos in vivid colors.
“Being a neophyte in photography, I found it quite surprising that every shot I took from the camera is almost always sharp and clear,” says Percival Lugue, a hobbyist who, just recently, took photos of his toy collections and put them online at

HP S300 Digital Camera has a 2.7-inch LCD display, easy-to-navigate user interface and USB charging capabilities which offer added convenience to make taking photos as easy as A-B-C.
The 27-mm wide-angle lens allows one to capture a wider perspective of scenes. Although it is just a small contraption, it has a 2.7” screen.
“This is really a welcome treat for me as this wide screen will allow me to get a bigger picture of what I am taking,” Lugue says.
This product doesn’t come with a free memory card. However, it can allow SD/SDHC (up to 32GB). It also requires Class 6 speed SDHC cards for 720p HD video.
“While the Storage Media of the camera allows for SD/ SDHC (up to 32 GB), I am just surprised that the camera never came with a memory card,” Lugue says.
Nevertheless, with its simplicity, even a beginner’s shots will seem like they were taken by a professional because of S300’s more than 30-scene modes, including the PASM mode and the new Panorama stitch scene mode.
It comes in two colors: black and silver.
