That is exactly the root of the problem sir .

Its not the FRATERNITY SYSTEM ang problema but ang ERRING MEMBERS and we cant remove the fact na naa gyud ni sila . Some people dont understand the concept of BROTHERHOOD , if we talk about the Craft ( Freemasonry ) , the members are supposed to be good men but the organization transforms them into better men instead of kicking them out sa organization . Reha*****e and overhaul is the answer but its not an overnight thing .

Naa pod uban maayo kaayo mo sulti na ngano mga istambay ug uneducated maka apil . Does it require to be a PROFESSIONAL and EDUCATED to become a GOOD CHRISTIAN and HONEST CITIZEN ? Mind to these people , daghan kaayo kaila mga PROFESSIONALS and EDUCATED na mga tirador and what does that make the fraternity ?

SImple knowledge i interpret na secret , gamay kisaw sa media maoy tuuhan , daghan ngalan na komon maoy makaplagan na swito sa storya but its not what they know but of what they have heard .

Para sa info lng sa mga wa kabalo, lahi ra kaayo ang frat compared to gangs and buot2x na grupo..cguro kana inyo na hear sa news nga patay2x nd gubot sa gangs na misinterpret sa ubang taw as frat2x na daun..frat is about brotherhood ang gangs are merely created for street crimes..you may search wikipedia para sa defition of both terms....

What I find stupefying are the claims that some frats are aligning with either the bloods and crips. Kaning mga in-ani nga rumors labaw na maka-daot sa image sa mga fraternities.

still, i cannot understand the ethics behind hazing, presuming that there is one behind it.

Dili gyud na mawala ang "hazing" either joining a group, organization, fraternity or club. Doing good on your grades, lossing weight, doing silly and foolish acts in public etc. are just examples of initiation or hazing before admission. So IMO, hazing does not literally mean initiating physical violence abuse like paddling. So the ethics there is... it is just a test of your involvement, doing sacrifice for the group or brotherhood/sisterhood. But paddling/physical abuse is another story. The law prohibits this. The ethics? NOTHING.

It's a sort of spiritual aspect of entering into a group. Murag christening bah or baptism (by fire). It's like forming a shared bond with your comrades through shared experiences during entrance and acceptance into the group. The PMA, West Point, Annapolis even sports teams--practically any sort of brotherhood/sisterhood has a hazing ritual. It's not an exclusive ritual to greek letter frats. I know some of these rituals can be extreme, pero that's the ethos of certain groups.
