A friend of mine bought the tab7.7 just recently and naai daghan small spots and 3 ring marks sa screen sa bottom, the spots are not visible as long as something is on the ring marks are visible when using the kindle app if there is no text displayed close to it. over all its pretty acceptable.
Another user posted at TCP that he has 3 ring marks, but someone else posted that he has no ring marks but no photo yet.

So earlier I got to check out 3 brand new units, all of them failed my testing and it was quite fast since it was very obvious to begin with, the store rep also agreed with my findings. But im sure those units be fine for the average user. I was also informed by another store that they just got 4 brand new stocks.. gonna check it out this sunday![]()
Id like to add a few more images just to keep people informed on what to check and what to look for before buying the Tab7.7 or generally any SuperAMOLED based device.
This images were contributed by a user from TipidCP.
Aside from the fish eye effect everything else you see is from the screen it self
At the very edge of the right side, you can see a visible sign of burn-in and this is 2 weeks of usage from the owner.
Also note that the edges have some sort of a 'bleeding' darker side.
A different shade of grey shows even more reddish edges, this issue is pretty common on the Tab7.7
This user also reports that he has visible ring marks on the screen, something similar to this:
Only visible as long as you use the tab in low light.
A lot of people say they dont have any screen related issue but that is purely subjective to them when asked for a photo they cant really provide any as they actually start to see what people are talking about. Some screen issues are not that bad but it would be better if we get one w/o issues.
Here is another example of a user claiming that he does not see any screen issues what so ever.
Some of you might say, big deal its only visible on the edges and only on greys, wrong! they are visible on almost any color and actually makes those sides darker than what they are supposed to be, here is an example
original snap shot
darker sides
Right side is darker
tab is flipped now the left side is darker
Closing remakrs,
The Tab 7.7 is a great device, portability is unrivaled and battery life is go beyond expectations! But there are a lot of screen issues and most of these manifest when you actually use the tab outside store lighting conditions.
But if your the type of user that only limits usage to 50% minimum brightness, never uses the tab in low light conditions and color uniformity of the screen is not a primary concern then this is probably the best tab you can get for 2012 considering the portability and 1 hand operation. Just take note, none of the issues posted here are 'normal' these are all quality control related.
too expensive...
pila ni run?
